I know, what is wrong with having the title on the spine? Nothing. It didn't even mention the 3D! I may be wrong in thinking that this is being used for most Frozen steelbooks. If I'm correct, then surely it isn't that much of a Zavvi Exclusive!

Zavvi have exclusive rights to sell it in the UK. It won't be available anywhere else to buy in the UK only at Zavvi. That's what they mean by 'Zavvi exclusive'. It doesn't mean it won't be available in another country though.

Everyone has a right to express their opinion; just because you have no issue with the lack of titles makes any dissenting opinion an overreaction? Come on, this is a discussion forum and discussion goes both ways. HDN is also a better place than any to get our feedback heard, which makes voicing valid criticism and honest concerns all the more important. I'm not saying it's going to change anything, but it's our best bet.

So you're right: I won't buy it, because having a steel that doesn't have a title on even the spine bothers me. But I'll also voice my displeasure at what is becoming a growing trend, as is my wont.

I have no problems with people voicing their opinions but when it coupled with "I'm cancelling everything and I'll never buy from them again. Zavvi are the root of all evil etc" then that kind of negates the opinions down to sheer petulance.

For example, I hate the Kimchi Leon. I have calmly stated I will not buy it, but I will still consider any future release in a rational manner. Some of the posts above lack that rationality.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I think this looks fantastic. Well happy with that artwork.

I'm not OCD about stuff matching and all that. And if it has a gloss finish (which I won't hold my breath for!) it will look absolutely awesome.

I do actually like the new art but the lack of title really annoys me like what they have done to thor

Can we please respect eachother's opinions? Just because we don't all like the same thing doesn't mean we're moaning or being negative. The HDN community often has a lot of influence on the outcome of Zavvi's exclusive steelbooks, so voicing our honest opinion is a good thing!

Personally, I don't mind the new artwork (didn't mind the old one either), it's just the total lack of titles that ruins it for me. :(

I know you were joking, but people have made the same argument in all seriousness before.

DB has just made a great post in the Thor thread, which people should read.

She made great points, but we still have opinions to express.

I do like the artwork change. Just the terrible spine that I don't like. I will always purchase from Zavvi. Just because they are bringout out some hideous steelbooks lately, doesn't mean I hate them. But I will still buy other things from them. I am not extreme!! lol

The previous design was so good that I was severely tempted to order it but now this is so generic and ordinary looking. Disney is playing a stupid and dangerous game risking alienating collectors as it tries to maximise profits by having same design that can be released in any country without any changes esp as there is no writing anywhere on the steel including the spine.:angry::angry:

Agree. I love the new artwork and looks so awesone. I'm keeping unless target suddenly do an awesome exclusive.

As I said, I am not against people expressing opinions. It's the emotional outbursts that accompany them that reduces the effectiveness of them.

You mention in the Thor thread that you won't contact the retailer to express disappointment, but you will on here. Just wondered why that is ?

Whilst HDN is a fantastic forum, unless people actively complain to retailers, this trend will continue. And while I have no problems with it, some people obviously do. But they only thing they do is 'moan' on here - nothing proactive.

If people did keep complaining, whilst it may be too late for some releases it may have some bearing on future releases

Fair enough, you have a point there. I felt a little grouped in and spoken down to when I read the post originally; there was clearly a degree of misunderstanding on my part. You have my apologies.

In all seriousness, a title-less spine is not something I want in my collection. I've got a few and they just manage to get under my skin. I'm not trying to sound extreme, but it's just a step over the line for me, and if it continues it looks like I may have to start missing out on Disney's new releases, which would be a shame, as by and large they make for lovely steels.

I said I won't complain to the retailer. I am not complaining or blaming fellow ninjas for this mess. I am expressing an opinion.

I also said if it doesn't change, I simply won't purchase. Zavvi will be able to figure out on their own even if this board didn't exist that their sales go down whenever they bring out an ugly steelbook.

I think you're giving Zavvi far too much credit there :hilarious:

Seriously though, it would take 30 seconds to fire off an email saying why you've cancelled. If everyone who was cancelling did this then Zavvi may take note. If no one did then this trend will continue until the next fad appears.
