@fishvtec You need to set up a brand new account, as your normal amazon account wont work for amazon in Japan or China

You need to type into Google, Amazon.Japan. It should then give you an option right at the top of the browser to view the said site in English.

Like Monkey2005 stated, you can't use your existing Amazon account. You do need to set up a new one for the Japan site. Good luck.
