I truly expect that once these are gone another 1,000 to appear. Meaning that I reckon they only put 1,000 up first to see if they sold well.

I don't believe this is whole 2,000 current for sale otherwise this is madness.

I doubt it, ES have never done it that way before and there's no advantage for them in doing so.

seeing past the "exclusive" tag, its simply cheaper to order (and support) UK retailers than ordering from abroad (DE version will be at least £30 delivered to the UK i think) - but there are also other advantages like not having to potentially deal with german menus on the discs or subtitled parts of the film being in german or excessive German censorship ect.

Having said all that i'm buying more steels from germany than anywhere else atm - UK basically sucks in comparison when it comes to overall number of releases - tho there are loads of DE steals i wont buy due to printed backs or no inside artwork ect

As for the exclusive art work, i think its TOTTALY possible - but i would guess studios are now asking retailers for crazy high premiums? IDK, Wreck probably knows why but cant say cause studios/retailers dont like that kinda Truthful info being known publicly :movie:

Not saying it's the reason why everyone wants one, but the reason it sells out so fast is very simple: it's a very limited run and comes with store-specific exclusive sticker. Both of those make it more collectable and add future value. (And recent secondary market values of Jack Reacher make the latter even more of a draw.)

If this was a regular print run without a sticker, it would probably take weeks to sell out.

Very true as well - and if retailers see collectors getting hard for stickers and j-cards over artwork or content, they might think to pass up on that extra $$$$$ for the badass exclusive artwork.

...hell they may even be doing that already cause exclusive artwork seems to be gettin pretty rare these days

I have just returned to the office to find this OOP. I quickly connected to the internet this morning at a BT Openzone area to get a copy, which luckily I managed. I also have H&G on pre-order.

insane. i checked before work and it wasn't live. check back at lunch and sold out. clearly not limited to 5 per customer or anything.
hopefully es next exclusive will have a 10,000 print run. so that folk who work for a living can still order a copy come 6pm.

Its more than 500 as when I first checked 700+ were available. If they're doing another lot then just now 1,000 would of sold.

Wow fair enough that has been a quick sell. Lets hope for all the people that didn't get it they are realseasing the pre orders in two waves of 1000

Sorry you missed out. Don't worry mate there will be plenty more to come, unless they decide to stop making movies!! Keep a close eye on these forums as they'll keep you informed of future steelbook releases. That's what I've been doing and it work wonders (with great thanks to guys like Wreck, Apsmith etc).

Also keep checking back now and again it may still come back in stock

Would of missed this if it wasn't for a work colleague wanting my shift and I took there Saturday shift if that didn't happen would of missed this completely can understand your frustration I was at work missed Jack Reacher and only got a order of Hansel & Gretel as my brother ordered me a copy without me knowing on his account
