To get IM3, I believe ES would be in a bidding war with Zavvi. With the winner committing to selling the highest amount of copies for the highest price, hence why HMV used to have such high print runs for the biggest releases. I'm certain that they would be competing with Zavvi, so it would be a choice of a low print run with ES (and a high price), or a higher print run (and a lower price) with Zavvi.

well, i got lucky with the 2nd batch thankfully.
cant believe 2000 copies can sell such a short space of time. considering a normal print run is 4000 and that can last a year or more!
i imagine the super duper high prices of jack reacher has played a big part though, nobody wants to miss out, so everyone is getting on borad asap.
it irks me that they make the listings live mid-day though. everyone with a 9-5 job have to be lucky to get in. fortunately my work computer doesnt have a block on play.com otherwise i would have missed out.
looking forward to seeing this in the flesh!

I was lucky enough to get one in the second batch. Absolutely crazy how quickly this sold out. Hopefully we'll eventually get a steelbook of The Rise Of Cobra :)

I expect the people who set it live and sell it have a 9-5 job too though. Seems perfectly logical for them to make it live during that time so they can monitor sales etc especially the way these are flying off the shelf. Would possibly be risky doing it just before they head home in case something went wrong
