this steelbook looks great, print run definitely keeps increasing though, not bothered will still be getting this as long as the price is not as high as the last two

I'll be getting only 1 this time to keep the set going. 2k is about 500 too many to make this a fast sell-out, I can see it remaining in stock right up until release.

That prelim art looks good, i haven't seen the movie but i've heard it's mindless fun if that makes any sense.

ES have hit a nice niche here and i'm glad for them, but how they go forward with their exclusives will no doubt define them. With the print run at this amount, if they price it too high then they will indeed see what the price of exclusivity and limited availability really is. It's a tricky balancing act, if this goes for the price of previous ES releases i personally think it will still sell out.

Even if they start getting batches of 4k i don't really mind just as long as their prices are relative. It means less people will be disappointed too. I'd imagine ESs target is to be able to order 4k runs and hang with the big retailers as that's the way they will make more money and stay afloat.

I assume the print-run has been upped this time because there was clearly a lot of unhappy folks that missed out on H&G, which is fair enough if that's the case. Hopefully it also means a lower price!

I really don't think they've done it to be public spirited, it's far more likely to be in the plain and simple pursuit of profit.

is it just me or does anyone else like the fact that they have the sticker on the front of the set so that every time you look at it you know its a limited run from E.S .....Too many sets have these on the back so at first glance you dont know how limited it is....

I would say its a way in which they can double there money depending on the price

Whatever their "real" reason is, at least it still means that both camps are happy... more steels for us (less chance of it going OOS in a few hours), more money for them (more chance of a better exclusive next time). ;)
