Has anyone bought the 7" Iron Throne replica and have pictures? I was thinking about buying this online but wasn't sure how good this looks on the smaller scale.

I've got the 7'' Iron Throne. No idea how it compares to the large 14'' one but the price was certainly fair (£35) and it looks really nice on display.

Okay I have JUST started to read the book .

I am struggling with the age of the written caricatures Eddard Stark 35 ish Robb 14 ish Jon around the same age .

I am finding it an Amazing read .

However the casting in the show of older actors Sean Bean 50 ish as well as Mark Addy Richard Madden and Kit Harington mid twenties is making the book a little less believable .

HAS anyone else found this a problem ? .

That is how things were in medieval times. Unfortunately, you can not do what they were doing in the book on modern television because of the ages.

Even so I get that that the times where harder so people probably looked older than thire years and physically stronger to be able to lift the swords wear the furs and leathers for warmth. For me making the male characters older in the series is making it more intense.

Sansa was cleverly done by her transition in the royal court effectively becoming a noble woman in her own right.

The last thing I am doing is bashing the book and in no way do the two compere.

Also the fact with the series is the way cleverly that the North speak like we do as in the accents English North and the South speak like Southerners do. THAT is a total stroke of genius to tap into that .

What I am saying is weather the series OR the book both are FANTASTIC in thire own right .

Sadly no. I was a bit low on cash for a while and thought they would last a bit longer. 2500 print run isnt that much after the tv-show started to air. I regret it now seeing the insane price on ebay for it... $1200-$2500.

Buuuut... the HBO version of Longclaw will be out before summer, and I hope it will look almost as nice. It is supposed to be high carbon steel compared to stainless steel in the original swords... so that's a plus

Pleased more than words can say. AWESOME!!! If there are 50 of these boxes out there, I'd be shocked. Already flipped the blu rays that came with that drove down the cost.
