Seen the first 5 episodes now and must admit it is growing on me. The characters and character development is really great. Not that much action so far but I have a feeling that will change.

Anyone have some views on this series? :scat:

Ok.. I adit I was a little bored with the beginning of this season. Intro was awesoe, but then, not much happened. Nut I think I have the same feeling at the beginning of each season, and then I'm like "WTF??!!" **** is going crazy and like that, season is over :-(

Well? What did you all think? It will be interesting to hear non book readers reaction and theories. Oberyn is the man.

Tonight's episode was great! Though I have to re-watch since my cable was giving me trouble the entire episode.

Book and future Plot Spoilers
When Oleana was giving her speech to Sansa I was laughing my ass off when she was saying it was a shame to kill someone at a wedding the person I was watching with kept asking me questions so I said its ironic since she is about 5 minutes away from poisoning Joff. Its just great, to keep seeing her reactions throughout.

the north remembers!!

The few seconds you see Oberyn are just amazing, him and Elleria (who was Naobi in HBO's Rome) are just great

can't wait for more dragons

also can someone confirm if the girl ramsay killed in the beginning of the episode was the same form last season from the epsiode

UGH OMG second time watching this episode the channel concked out during oberyn and other important parts F this!@!@@!

Ok, answer if you can, but PLEASE NO BOOK SPOILERS!!

If Joffrey is now dead, then we are left with Queen Margaery, yes? Margaery Lannister or Tyrell? Does the house shift because the Lannister king is dead? If not, can Margaery marry again (a different house) and cut the Lannisters out altogether?

Or is it something else completely, like Margaery is now just Lady Tyrell again and the throne goes to Tywin (being the eldest Lannister)? Or maybe it goes back to how it was after Robert died and Cersei is back to being Queen?

Or does Gendry come back in, identified as Robert's son and the throne goes back to house Baratheon? I imagine that would be saved for a lot later.

CasuallyDressed you have NO IDEA what you are missing with the books. Glad I have to wait for the Blu Rays as I can keep in frount :D.

Just think of the line of succession , like in House Stark. The answer is from seies one rearly when Robert asked Eddard to rule untill Joffry came of age. How our Royal line works untill it was changed incase Baby George was Georgina (like with our Degu :emb:).

However series three is not that much in line with the books in certain aspects of the plot . I am hoping this series rectifies this a little:ohno:. If not then still looking forward to how this difficult visual transition presented.:oohyeah:.

This will be a stupid point obviously the one thing I miss more than anything by reading the books are the breathtaking score by Ramin Djawadi. That for me is what makes the series that extra connection between the actors, sets C.G.I to us the viewer. LONG may it continue:movie::drool:.

King Joffrey is a Baratheon (even though he is a "pure blood" Lannister)....

sweet episode. Was hoping the entire time that Joffrey would somehow be the one to die. Pretty brutal looking way of going out.

I guess the next logical King would be the younger Baratheon boy, who is also a "pure blood" Lannister. Unless Robert's bastard somehow was able to stake a claim to the throne. Perhaps the North will rise for Bran Stark. Or maybe once again Stannis will attempt to take King's Landing.

As far as who killed Joffrey, I'm going to assume it was Oberyn based on Che's post. He was probably trying to kill the entire family, but only got Joffrey.

I'll be floored if anyone can give me the how it happened by next week sunday. All day long I've heard speculation. People are close but can't quite put the puzzle together. It's in the episode. Watch CLOSELY!

Joffrey died before consummating the marriage, which means Margaery cannot be Queen. The throne would then pass to Prince Tommen until it is proved he is not a Baratheon.

As for who poisoned Joffrey, I believe Margaery's grandmother, Lady Olenna was responsible. Joffrey was a monster, so she wouldn't want Margaery to be stuck with him. It's quite plausible that she did it so Tommen would take the throne, and presumably being less of a sociopath, she would look to form a union between them.

I must say that what happens in this episode is the most deserved thing in television!

lol

Trouble is as much as he is ...sorry "was lol" an obnoxious little ****, I did enjoy seeing just how nasty he got each week.

There's no denying,
he was a great villain. And kudos to the actor, Jack Gleeson. It takes great talent to play a role like that. I hated Joffrey and that's mostly thanks to Gleeson's brilliant performance.
