Seen the first 5 episodes now and must admit it is growing on me. The characters and character development is really great. Not that much action so far but I have a feeling that will change.

Anyone have some views on this series? :scat:

Felt sick after watching that (it was great but very upsetting). Gutted as I honestly thought Oberyn would survive but now he's dead. I found him to be an interesting character too. Killed too early.

The show didn't do as great a translation of his character as they should have. He never removed the spear from his stomach, in fact the spear had him pinned to ground. He kicked away his sword before his final rant in which he said "Sir, if you do not confess here, I promise you I will chase you through all seven hells until you do!" As he was picking up Mountains sword and walking over to behead him with it, the sword was too heavy and he got too close, so Mountain took his feet out then, which makes more sense because the spear was his weapon. The book ending was far superior BUT Pedro Pascal did an amazing job with the impassioned character that was Oberyn Martell, the Red Viper of Dorne!!:dead:

I have not read the books, but I wasn't suprised by the episodes ending. I was actually waiting for it.

The way the story was pointing towards, it seems like
Jaime is the one that needs to help his brother, not the Viper. The way the story has been unfolding, it was too easy and too obvious the way RV was dominating the fight. Again, I may be wrong since I have not read the books, but, it's more interesting this way, that being said, I had to look away at the head crushing, that was NASHHTY. Oh by the way, the only way that the mountain can die, in my opinion, is by the hounds hand. So I kinda saw all this coming. And Daaaaaang Sansa looks hot in that dress at the end must I say.

You are the third person I've talked to that thinks Mountain is still alive. Weird. The show has changed much from the book. The show is leading the viewer differently than George leads the reader. It's starting to become a vast difference.

i guess it's just easy to assume he's still alive if he had strength enough to smash a guys head in. Honestly the episode didn't give evidence one way or the other. Will be interesting to see where they go with it. I'd love to see the mountain and the hound square off.

My favorite part of the episode was arya cracking up when they find out her aunt is dead. Lol

G, you right. She looked way better than usual. Not a huge fan still, but she cleaned up nice.

You guys are bumming me out. All this Sansa talk makes me feel like I'm the only man on earth who saw Missandei NAKED!!!EEK! My lord, she is smoking hot. Grey worm is my idol!! Don't turn face, just keep staring.:D As far as Mountain goes, you guys haven't puzzled together what happened. In regards to his wounds, he took a spear straight through his chest. That's not good.:movie: Some of you keen observers should be able to figure out what happened without it being spelled out for you.

Well I guess I'm just not that smart Che!!!!!! Lol

HINT:
Seriously don't open this unless you want a hint
The clues are in the previous episodes in regards to conversations and also in the episode itself. Solve the mystery the same way you did earlier in the year.

What's the rule on trial by combat if both champions are dead?

Tywin sentenced Tyrion to death. So all Tyrion have to do is plea for mercy and he will be send to The Wall and Jaime leaves the King's Guard. Just like what Jaime and Tywin agreed upon.

Apparently it's who dies first loses the trial. That condition was for trial by judgement.
