Seen the first 5 episodes now and must admit it is growing on me. The characters and character development is really great. Not that much action so far but I have a feeling that will change.

Anyone have some views on this series? :scat:

@kaw

I agree, though I wonder if Bran does have the power to change the past, the three eyed raven initially said no to bran when he was called out to his father, but now we see that is not true, maybe as time evolves he can, but also maybe his future self knows not to mess with certain things

I wonder if we will get a taste of future Bran in next weeks episode when the white walkers catch up to meera and bran. like a one time deal. future bran comes saves them and explains in time he will get the powers but not to do anything

so then why was bran and the one eyed raven at that particular moment when the white walkers were striking did the one eye raven know bran needed to be there to warg into Willis, and if he knew bran needed to warg into Willis why not warg into Willis at a later point in his life or was it a mental preparation for Willis

HOLDTHEDOOR

Great episode!

As soon as she told Hodor to "hold the door" I burst out laughing, because I suddenly realised that's where the name came from... but then they SHOWED you exactly how it went down, and my emotions quickly switched. So cool how they turned something quite small in to something big and gave it so much meaning... I never imagined the story of how he got his name would be so important.

What a show. :notworthy:

@bloodsnake007 so now we know where the idea came from, GRRM just steals ideas from others... :LOL:

I don't know what categorizes a specific episode to be award worthy but honestly this episode is worthy of an emmy. seriously just hand them an emmy for best episode right now

@mllNY @Flloydo

Just finished watching it. Wow. :OMG:
So yes, it seems like Bran can affect the past.
BUT as we just saw with the Hodor ending, almost seems that they are going with the time travel rule of "what happened, happened" (like LOST).
Where even if you try to change something it's either "that was always meant to have happened" (and did) or you wouldn't be able to change it... know what i mean?

I don't exactly get how it all works... It gets very confusing the more I think about it and I love it. haha

What I didn't love is that another Direwolf is gone. Come on!
I know its a pain to have them in the show... but they are so cool and they keep getting killed without getting much to do.
If something happens to Ghost i'll be so angry!

I know GoT kills a lot of characters... but it seems like A LOT have died this season. Like... more then normal.

Anyways. Great episode!

Kaw- yea that's what I was thinking with your lost example. A kind of loop, it will always happen that way.
I wonder now if brans story will be that he will try to focus/ warg back to that moment when they create the white walkers and him knowing he can affect the past try to stop that moment when they push the thing in his chest, I can see that being his mission now.... Hell maybe the whole show will end that way and it all starts again but without the white walkers

I also think bran will become more powerful than the three eyed Raven and bran can already do things that Raven couldn't like get others to notice him in his wargs of the past

Yeah I was surprsied at the whole dire wolf death in this episode, but maybe shaggy isn't dead from the other episode. Who knows, guess we will know for sure soon

@Noodles - yeah I was the same, kinda laughed but then instantly clicked that it meant hodor and then I was emotional! Damn

Haha tell me about it dude... don't think I've ever gone through so many emotions in such a short space of time.

I think Bran already
changed the past, he's just rediscovering them now. The question is what else did he changed.
About the future, I think the Three-Eyed Raven is Bran. "The time has come for you to become me"
And the Heart Tree which is Bran (Three-Eyed Raven warg into a Weirwood tree) told the Children of the Forest to create a being (Night's King).
