Game of Thrones TV Series

Because G.O.T was on about 4 or 5 x discs in my cardboard box it may not be possible to get it all into one steelbook anyway. But I was curious if there ever was a steelbook for each season and they got it all down to 4 x discs a series would anyone actually be interested ?? Heres some amazing pictures

I actually would not be interested in a steel for this. Love the show (books even more so) and will buy every season that comes out...but the BB packaging on these is so phenomenal that I don't think Id ever get a steelbook for the show.

Steelbooks are awesome. They're just not the answer to everything

I think this could be something really special as a series of steels based on the house sigils. They could squeeze these onto 4 discs with fewer extras (which I'm not fussed about) but I'd probably buy a jumbo.

Whilst I would like a steelbook release, I do agree that the steelbook treatment wouldn't work for everything, and I think this is one of them.

Don't get me wrong, I love Game of Thrones, but a steelbook would be pretty difficult. The packaging HBO have made for it at the moment is amazing and really displays the characters well. How could this be done in a steelbook?

There are so many characters and everyone has their favourites and ones they dislike that it would be impossible to satisfy everyone, hence maybe resulting in fewer sales than many would believe this steelbook would gain. Many people only want a standard steelbook size, meaning that we would have a front cover, interior artwork (possibly) and back artwork. That doesn't allow much room for creative freedom for designers, I don't think considering the range of characters and plots developing throughout each series so far.

And compressing each series onto 4 discs so it will fit in a standard steelbook is ridiculous. HBO are known for the incredible picture and sound on their blu rays and to compress the episodes more would compromise this or result in fewer extras which may result in even fewer sales, so you would probably have to accept a thicker steelbook for the 5 discs they currently contain, meaning no interior artwork.

And as people have pointed out, there is no guarantee that we would be able to complete the series in the steelbook format so releasing any series yet would be a mistake, I think. If the series concludes and people want the entire collection, then it would make more sense.

I won't say no yet, but since a lot of people want this to happen, I'll see if any artwork appears, but for now, I'm a maybe, depending on what we get later on.

Sadly, The Walking Dead is an AMC series, Game of Thrones is HBO, so I wouldn't say we're any closer yet. But the reactions on this forum seem positive enough to warrant a steelbook, so don't give up hope yet.

Best tv show by since battlestar galactica. Really want to support the show by buying the seasons but I will wait for a steelbook offering. They have to do one, don't they.

yes but it will never happen, HBO are too greedy and probably wouldnt let companies use their images and so forth. it takes them forever to get their finger out their asses, people have demanded The Wire on blu ray, they just don't care, i dread to think how long it will take to release the rest of sopranos on blur ray. They release MASSIVE box sets that are ugly as **** just so they can re release slimline ones.

Dear god no I personally don't buy TV steelbook as the really top quality ones do amazing boxsets. Already have like 3 different copies of each season and would have to buy the steelbook if it happened.

But then what about the huge complete collectors editions there is bound to be at the end only 3/4 more seasons left to go.
