Just hit £1.39/litre near me (around $8.60 per gallon), ridiculous at the moment. Especially as I drive an RX8 which currently does about 17 mpg it makes for a very expensive fuel bill throughout the year!
3.55 where i am in jersey, i fill up a 12 gallon tank about 2.5 times a week as i have an hour commute to and from work.
same here, but at all stations. add about 20 cents if you cross the river into Illinois.
the main reason its so pricey here in the UK is because our government take such a huge slice.
its in the region of 3/4 of the price we pay goes to the government in .A) duty and .B) vat (which is now at 20%) its gone crazy! i started driving around 4 years ago, and the price then was £0.90 approx a litre. it is now £1.40 approx a litre.
the cost price has risen, granted, but for every penny the cost price rises, the price at the pump goes up four pence.
at the latest budget 'they' cut one pence of the duty of fuel. but the rumour is that they are going to tax the suppliers more (so the cost will still rise, as the supplier adds their extra cost to their price)

I'm bring this tread back to life, I've just sold my super expensive fire breathing Subaru Impreza, it was a sad day to see her burbble down the road the disappear out of ear shot. Had to find a car that was big enough to be a utility and small enough to still run around in. I ended up buying an A4 diesel, and I'm so chuffed, it does 52 mpg to work, though no where as fast as the Impreza it's nice to know I have money to spend on something else besides the car...lol
Thinkin' about riding everywhere on a skateboard. We saw gas at $4.07 recently (East Coast, USA)....I am sure it will go even higher-just nuts, LOL.
Put in 3 quarters of a tank last night. 70.17 It's a sad commentary on gas prices when I'm happy that it is down to 3.99
Yeah, my partner carpools, too, -she drives something like 70 miles to work (she is on career track, so she has to stay at that location), so gas and tolls are crazy expensive...the CP'ing works well for us.
I paid 1,62€/litre that would be about 2,22$/litre. I think you are still blessed with low gas prices! 75€ gone for 1x refuel and i have to refuel 4x a month!

It's about 3.98 around my area. I am about to move right by work so I am about to cut the majority of gas consumption.
Gas here is $1.23CDN/litre... not sure what that converts to for gallons. Anything over $1.00 per litre is rediculous imo.
