The original Ghostbusters is sold out on HMV, so if people are looking to match, I hope ye've already picked up the first two (I didn't, had the two in my basket for a while & then the day I go to buy them the first one is gone.)

I'm pretty sure we all expect there to be something more awesome than this release coming out at some point.
This might be brightly coloured, glossy and matching the first two but I'll take a dump in my hat and eat it if there
isn't a future release with the fab looking logo on it. Infact, I'll go as far to say... an embossed logo.
This release is quite poor in my opinion and it may sound stupid but I am comparing this to something
that hasn't even been released yet, but inevitably will be. No I have no crystal ball but I do have high hopes.

Which retailer? That's the question!

They should really put something on this to make sure people know it is the trainwreck remake and not the Classic.

Well the proton packs look different, they are clearly women, the ecto-1 on the back is a different model than the original car & that scene isn't in either of the 2 previous movies. So mistaking it for either Ghostbusters or Ghostbusters 2 would be pretty difficult I'd think.

I think people who aren't steelbook collector's or aren't even into films that much and were buying it as a present for somebody, say somebody's mother or grandmother out shopping, I can see how it could easily be mistaken for the original film. I don't think the model of ecto-1 is going to be in the minds of many people when they buy this.

I'm happy for collector's that these films match but I can see something far better on the horizon, or I remain in hope rather.

Yeah, I hadn't thought about that- that design could most definitely fool some people into buying that awful remake instead of the original.

I would hope people who can't be bothered to read the box to see its not the original maybe will watch it and see it's a really fun clever film and not just a remake. It's a shame you guys didn't enjoy it ah well

Proton packs are different, but there is nothing that makes them clearly women at all.
I think they wanted it to be confusing on purpose to accidentally sell some copies of this, since not many people will buy them on purpose.

yeah there are a couple of import options...but I dislike foreign text on steelbooks/j-cards if I can avoid it.

Best Buy in the U.S. had them for $9.99 each (when you bought both) a couple of weeks ago. Absolute bargain at that price.

Aside from Leslie Jones, the other 3 characters have visible ponytails on the cover. I don't think for one second that this is a "ploy" to confuse people into accidentally buying the wrong movie. Along with everything I've already said that differentiates this steelbook from that of the original Ghostbusters one, simply flipping it over to see the J-card on the back would tell you straight away its the 2016 movie & not the 1984 one.

To get back on track, I've got this on order (along with the 4K amaray) & can't wait to see it in hand. And can't wait to see it again, I only made it to see it once in the cinema.

after importing fee's and such it would have worked out about the same as buying both for £25 here I imagine.
