Zoverstocks are great but the condition of the item isn't always perfect. I wouldn't risk ordering a Steelbook from them.

Yeah, Steelbooks from Zoverstocks is a big no no. My first and last steelbook from them came as flat as a pancake, jiffy bags just arnt up to it.

Right, as promised just called The Hut regarding this farce and have some bad news I'm afraid. This will also apply to anyone who purchased from Zavvi as they are part of the same group for any other Sony titles (Hellboy, Ghostbusters, Evil Dead) in this wave.

The Hut/Zavvi are expecting these in on Thursday 15th November. I was told that there is a chance could be before. I then asked about the turn around and they said posted the next day and via standard delivery (not next day). I'm sure most are aware that they aren't the quickest in the delivery stakes either.

I then asked how the likes of Amazon/Play & others have this in and they don't and the first guy I spoke to kind of let it slip the real reason we are still waiting for these. He basically told me that these were ordered late by them, which makes sense.

I then spoke to a manager who told me that they're ordering from different supplier (she didn't really know to be perfectly honest), which ties in with the first reason.

So all in all, if you're in a rush to get these, I would advise cancelling your order and getting them from Amazon or Play.

I'm not in a rush for these, so will keep my order with them. Just glad I now know what's going on.

Apologies, will copy and paste these in the other threads to let others know.

My copy arrived from Amazon yesterday. It looked like the stay puft marshmallow man had sat on it. Totally trashed. Received the replacement this lunchtime via DPT Courier. Talk about quick. Well done amazon.

Amazon at every good like that but when I didn't receive my copy of Snowwhite and the Huntsman I had to request next day delivary as a good will gesture and they did oblige but sounds like they did this for you automatically?

Has anyone seen copies of this locally other than HMV? I.e Asda or Tesco?

I just got ANOTHER e-mail from thehut.com saying they are trying their best to fix the problem of "getting" my steelbook...I'm guessing by Christmas or New Years I should have it... :movie:

It's not flipped, it's a European 'limit' sign and is the correct way round :)

I think he's right. I think they have 'flipped' it. WOW I hadn't noticed that. It's the opposite way round to the logo on The Real Ghostbusters covers. But it's the same as the old DVD cover. Strange.

You're half right. There was (and still is) a stack of official GB merch that has the European style logo on it. The DVD's for example as you mentioned was Euro style, as were a lot of the 1984 posters for the movie. Both the left and right facing ghost are official logos, but the home media versions of the movie have all been Euro style as far as I'm aware.

It isn't an error, it was done on purpose to make the logo suit the UK and European audience because that's where the sign came from - in the movie it's flipped to be US style.

The back art is the only redeeming feature of this steelbook in hand for me. Not that impressed with the Matte finish....looks very cheap to me....guess we can't all be happy.
