Actually a slash-through circle goes from top left to bottom right. Just go to Google Images and search for 'circle with line through it' and most are like that.

EDIT: hmm I did a different search and I guess there really is no standard to it.

I have the Ghostbusters movie poster hanging on my wall and its bottom left to top right. Thats why when I first looked at the artwork something looked off to me.
