So I have asked them for clarification. But I suspect that box versions are totally different. Which I think will annoy me. I don't think they will be like the zavvi everythingblu releases where the deluxe has everything. But tentatively I think they actually look nice.

Hopefully we get some idea on prices soon and solid pre-order dates. I'm going to bet it'll be a late October - early November release window.

Do you mean the last photo? Cos that's just the big supreme edition outer slip.
Look at my message again. But yeah without reading all that crap I thought the black box was the steel for some reason

Also these editions are getting ridiculously big now. Don’t get me wrong I’m not big on EB either but at least the finishes are good and the artworks are decent (there’s a real lot going on with their artworks). The size and amount of space fifth element is currently taking up on my shelf Is so stupid it’s beyond laughter. So with Léon too when that arrives that’s a sh!t ton of wasted room. Thankfully I like the artworks but I won’t continue buying them unless like those 2, they are in with my favourite films and include cool art.

What makes ToC think “oh yeah we can make up new editions where collectors may have to buy a new home or rent another flat on top of what they already rent just to house them”

Keep them normal size ffs. Why do they have to be so tall and wide? I’ll let EB slip because they been doing this a while. ToC are just jumping on that same wagon because of greed. No innovation in design and artwork whatsoever.

I know what you mean with the sizes. I have all my shelving custom cut and I made a decision to space it out to only fit blurays on it. And while I could technically just take out a shelf to fit bigger things on, I don't even really have that as an option now. I think as of a few days back my shelf is full... Where the **** am I gonna put my fifth element when that arrives.

The Film Vault releases are unnecessarily huge too.
if it is warranted- fine. But if it's for filling a box with art cards, pins and other pointless price-increasing bric-a-brac.....:meh:
