All joking aside. I've worked in Cinram before, many years ago and we actually transferred the Alien bluray discs from an older boxset in to new packaging which were then sealed and sold on.

So it's possible !

The discs are worth more in retail terms than the packaging and they are re-used more than people can imagine

Definitely, we handled them with gloves on ! and it was done manually. Literally taking discs out of the old packaging and putting them on a spindle. To then be repackaged. The procedure wasn't automated with robots or anything as one might think.

Received mine today (Dallas, TX), along with the Children of Men steel. Amazingly, in mint condition (except a small spine slash). I'd heard the horror stories about Amazon.it's shipping, but goodness--a couple of steelbooks in a thin cardboard envelope?? I don't know how they made it from Italy to Texas in one piece. Grateful to have this beautiful steelbook.
