I've got to admit, I tend to leave the stickers on. Not sure why really.
I don't get why a matte finish is mostly a negative thing. I think matte is perfect for a film like this, gives it a certain elegance. Clint's this stone-faced rugged tough guy (a true legend and hero of mine

Like the film but cancelled my pre-order last week as "once bitten, twice shy" - too many times have I paid the pre-order price, sometimes with a discount code, but found a month or two later that the price has gone down by a fiveror more (just look at the prices of the four animated features released at the end of March or the recent Gallery 88 range - all GBP 5 cheaper now than at release. . .)

One way to shift old discs that they can't give away in Amaray cases I suppose is to put them in premium packaging?

It's better than the other Steelbook releases of this film. At least they have tried to do something different. I think a nice gloss finish would have helped.
It seems to be a problem with a lot of Steelbooks. It is noticeable when there is embossing or the edges of the Steelbook are a different colour to the front and/or back e.g. The Incredibles.
I actually really like this. It'll come down in price so waiting on that but the embossing is pretty nice and the debossed (or non embossed, whichever way you look at it) lettering is what sets this apart from the other versions of this.
Might increase the reselling potential if it had the stickers on even if it is the rating logo [emoji6]

don't know if this is the same as french one but I saw one copy in my FNAC store and wow it's a fantastic steelbook, matte finish w/ embossing all around eastwood face + title I believe
