I actually think the design of the steel is pretty good.
And the 'emptiness' on the back just goes to further enhance the isolated loneliness that's the core part of the story. It's minimal, but effective.
The 3D doesn't bother me on the front, I just wish it didn't have it on the spine.

I thought the steelbook was excellent. Way better than I was expecting. Certainly my favourite since Red 2. The blufan one would have to be something seriously special to beat this one..... Very pleased.
Mine still stuck on dispatching soon. 
I hope I get it by the expected delivery date of sometime next week still.

Really gutted, wasn't a huge fan of the steelbook, it's okay suppose, but just watched the film for the first time, and all I can say is that the hype ruined it for me.... It was very ..... Meh to me! wish I hadn't bought it! It's not a crap film by any means, just...... Meh!!
Is this confirmed £19.99 in HMV or £17.99 like other Warner steels? Might pop in and see of they have any left?

Here is a direct comparison between the MM edition (DE) on the left and the (UK) on the right.
Front on sees much higher contrast and a brighter image on the DE. Plus the glaring great 3D splashed right across the UK edition.
I even swapped it over on the 2nd shot to see if it was just the flash, it was not.
The back is an even black on the DE, the UK shows as wavy uneven lines and appears greyer in tone.
The spine shows not one, but two glaring great 3D texts that totally ruin it.

Picked this up today from HMV for £20. Havent seen the film but ive heard great things, steelbook is not too bad.
