Love that artwork front and rear, but the inside is from Gremlins 2!!

The inside was the front cover for the Nintendo (Nes) Gremlins 2 game from back in 1990 loved that game back in the day

I like this movie a lot, but it's too expensive this time. Having the amaray version already I don't see myself paying another £20 for it. So.... no this time.

I want to own the movie, not a overprice case.

Both of the internal art pictures are promotional shots for Gremlins 2.

They've cropped the front image to such an extent that its butchered.

The whole point of gremlin bursting through the front art with the crayon was to cross out the words "Cute. Clever. Mischievous. Intelligent."

Now it just looks ridiculous because the words aren't there to cross out.

The front seems to be the same as the UK VHS cover (which for some reason had 'we're back' written on it in crayon). The back is the theatrical poster art so that's okay, although given the choice I'd swap the art over, oh, and an actual picture from Gremlins on the inside would be better.

Still, I won't be getting it anyway so it doesn't matter what I think.

Well, they've changed the colour of the title to RED. So I take it the idea is that the Gremlin's after writing/colouring that with the red crayon?? Terrible!

Looking at covers online, it appears it did. The rental copy certainly does, although I remember the version I had saying 'we're back'. Oh well, it probably didn't.

I think the artwork looks pretty good on this, at least it's different to the standard Gremlins blu-ray covers we see.

The artwork is not a problem, looks bad anyway. It is the BR transfer which is awful.

Exactly. I'm not too familiar with the artwork for this film, but as a general point: Everyone asks for new artwork, but it's about selecting the best artwork available. Sometimes the stuff that has been used on every home media release is the best. I wouldn't want new artwork just for the sake of having new artwork.

The art on this is not too bad at all. Really pleased with zavvis effort. I will order a few of these keeping family and friends in mind. Was a very popular film in its day and about time I gave it another watch. Hoping to see a lot more releases for October as well which is going to be a bumper month for steels, well done Zavvi for giving us a great selection and choice.
