If you look closely at the discs in the picture it shows disc 1 as having both films and disc 2 has special features.
According to Zavvi's description in the link in the OP above....

Disc One: Planet Terror/Deathproof:

  • Machete Trailer
  • Planet Terror Commentary by Writer/Director Robert Rodriguez and Reaction Track
  • Intermission Cards
  • Werewolf Women of the S.S. Trailer
  • Don't Trailer
  • Thanksgiving Trailer (Includes Commentary by Director Eli Roth and Co-writer/Actor Jeff Rendell
Disc Two: Bonus Features:

  • The Making of the Trailers/Commentary Tracks
  • Make-up Effects of Planet Terror
  • Production Design of Death Proof
  • Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez New York Times Interview
  • The Badass Babes of Planet Terror
  • The Guys of Planet Terror
  • Sickos, Bullets and Explosions: The Stunts of Planet Terror
  • Comic Con 2006 featuring the Directors and Cast of Grindhouse and much more!
Is this a new release? Seems to be different to the original if these specs are to go by?

This little lot doesn't appear on the UK amaray. Maybe it is a new print after all.

The first 3 are on the Planet Terror disc. Can't see the Comic Con stuff anywhere though.

Not neccesarily, there is a chance this could be a 4000 print run. It usually says Ultra limited print run when it's 2,000. I'm guessing this will be the standard 4,000 or maybe even higher.

It looks exactly like the 2 page booklet that came with the Amaray release. I think this will be the same.
Oh yes, true. I forgot about the "ultra limited" print runs. I hope it's not higher than 4K

ok, this may sound stupid, but wouldn't it have been a good idea to put Death Proof's artwork upside down on the rear and the title upside down on the spine?

That way if people prefer the Death Proof movie, you can flip it over and it would make Death Proof the front side of the steel... I don't know, seemed obvious to me
That's actually an excellent idea . But what about the spine? You know very well some will complain about the spine one way or another.

Why? The German steel has lossless audio. And IMO the artwork is way better too.

Well both my UK films I have in my German steel have Dolby TrueHD so if I like the new steelbook I'll stick them inside it. Yeah the German steelbook does have a nice distressed vintage look to it. But I'll decide which I'll keep once I have it in hand.

Not perfect IMO, but should be an improvement over the German steel, whose backwards art and bits of German text is a little annoying.

It's exactly 50/50, right down the middle. 81 votes for one case, 84 votes for separate cases.
Uhhhh... 81-84 isn't quite "exactly 50/50, right down the middle". :p

Looks good, I like this artwork, it's good to see artwork on the discs, I wanted these movies separately as I thought they may do a split front cover. A must buy for me, definitely getting this one.

To buy or not to buy...
I do like a steelbook & this looks good but I already have the blu-ray amray version.

Other than not owning it in a steelbook version, is there any reason why I should get this?
