I hope one of the "others" you mean is MANHUNTER, when you say the "other two films". Red Dragon was the usual awful Brett Ratner potential-series-ending tripe he always delivers. RD is not really worthy to be mentioned in the same sentence as the Michael Mann masterpiece. Manhunter is the real Red Dragon.
(I have a definite opinion on this, btw!).

Ordered up HANNIBAL. Love it....It was designed to be a completely different kind of movie. So, one should never approach it as if it were in the same style as SOTL or Manhunter. It is a black comedy.
