Response from ES about the finish they are going for on this release:
There’s an emboss on the title treatment, gloss varnish on the front, cutting out the characters and a dull varnish covering the back.

The red text and red image on the back is also a pantone red, which should be a bright pillar box red.

I was surprised this sold out in one day.

It's not the best of movies, like for example Wreck It Ralph, and that took an age in the group buy to get to 600.

This is 1000....

Having said that, maybe the price was a factor for Wreck It Ralph taking so long....

I'm surprised that still have 8 spots left on CaptainCoffee GB? This edition has all the ingredients to turn into a grail IMHO.

I just can't wait for this one to turn up...
Get the amaray 3D then swap the discs.. Brilliant
I thought it was a bloody good film
But hey that's me
:hilarious::hilarious:

I was pleasantly surprised by this film thought it would be terrible, but quite enjoyed it really! Maybe its cos of all the witches I've dated ;)

Is this confirmed to be the 2D and not 3D release?
The listing states "Double Play" but us Britt's being cheap often compile the 3D and 2D release onto the same disc... However we also have some sort of hate for 3D and steelbook to be used in the same sentence, if we want 3D and a steel, it often seems we have the pleasant surprise of having to double dip ;)

I think entertainment store need to put a cap on the amount a single person can order,so collector's like myself & others i'm sure who have probably missed out, have the chance of paying a half decent price instead of over the odds on ebay,as this sold out far too quick for people to have only been ordering 1 or 2 copies for themselves, the first steelbook release i've missed in the uk in 4 years,(just managed to get jack reacher through a cancellation),hope this isn't going to be the trend with entertainment shop steelbooks!!.

Paul.

I'm totally opposite and really hope this is the new trend. This is exactly what the UK market needs, the fact that lots of people missed out is down purely to them and nothing else. I was able to get a copy of reacher and this with no trouble at all. The trick if you miss out is to really keep an eye out because it will show up again all be it briefly. Which means everybody has 2 shots at getting it which IMO is plenty. Lets hope for more UK exclusives that sell out quickly.

Its not expensive just look how much the hobbit is from france 34.99 euros same with many others. We in the uk have just had it good for a long time with cheap steelbook.
