Response from ES about the finish they are going for on this release:
There’s an emboss on the title treatment, gloss varnish on the front, cutting out the characters and a dull varnish covering the back.

The red text and red image on the back is also a pantone red, which should be a bright pillar box red.

In theory you could have 2 retailers with their own exclusive steelbooks of the same film, but historically only one UK retailer wins the bid for the exclusive steelbook version at a time

There are instances of same title and different exclusive slip covers for different retailers though

If I think about it I believe the first retailer to release a steelbook of a title which was previously another retailers exclusive is Zavvi, with Star Trek XI. Not that it's something I hope for more of going forward

The rights contract would be with the studio, not Scanavo

So.. techincally, Zavvi could release their own exclusive with their own artwork, preserving the uniqueness and rarity of this ES Exclusive. However, people are saying that they just probably won't.

Good to know. Thx.

ES have really thought out there business model.

They have already won the hearts of collectors by their customer service.

I will use them if they carry on with:

1) Low print run Steelbooks
2) Exclusive sticker stating Ltd 1000 copies.

Jack reacher SOLD OUT
Hansel & Gretel SOLD OUT

Keep them coming guys you have my money and support.

I second this

I m going to developed a special display shelf specifically for ES Exclusives, along with another for Play's best Exclusives like Iron Man, Taken and so many other great releases. ES are fast becoming the Rolls Royce of steelbooks.

I will never buy a SB just because the artwork is nice or that its limited.i must like the movie itself.this film was poor IMO.but I do appreciate that not everyone collects for the same reasons.so enjoy, ladies and gents

Really Thallium, Really?? I am not even going to quote you on this!! Have you ever had any dealings with Dragon?? I certainly have and found him nothing but extremely reasonable and a gent through and through. I suggest to take your hatred elsewhere as there is no room on this forum for comments like that
