But honestly ... I personally think I'd prefer the Media Markt Steelbook, since I like the Lenticular and the silver design more. Still an ok Steelbook, though.

No, this is sold out. Maybe a few come back in stock because of returned items. But otherwise it´s gone. Obviously a really low print run.

Received mine yesterday Amazon.de. Worst packaging. No protection for steelbook moving freely within box. Swrinkwrap beat up on all four corners.

First item from Amazon de. Is this "usual" packaging for them? I've ordered German IM3 and worried it will arrive damaged as well.

Mine arrived two days ago.
The packaging was very good, like usual every steelbook is in an seperate cardboard, where it can't move.
I'm surprised about your bad experience

Yes, looks like the steelbook came loose from the "holder" in the inner cardboard so it was moving within. Oh well, probably just a one time thing. It is a very nice looking steelbook!

Amazon uses a "Dvd steelcase box single unit e-flute". It's basically a box with a cardboard holder :

It makes sure the steelbook is in the middle and doesn't move. This packaging is much better than Zavvis 2 micron thick foam since I haven't got one steel from amazon that was bent/dinged.
The only downside is that the shrinkwrap might get a little hole frome the cardboard holder ...

There's another downside that's perfectly illustrated in your picture - they rarely bother to push down the two tabs that are designed to hold the steelbook in place, and stop it moving back and forth. This can cause damage to the steelbook, and is probably how the shrinkwrap gets torn.
