HAHA yes I am OCD Extreme :wacky: but tbh I started doing so because of FilmArena's FAC Ultra Soft Fullsips it is a FingerPrint Magnet and also scratch so easilly with fingernails they are way too delicate so I started to use Gloves and it does help...and the habit stuck for many others  ...especially the Glossy Steels :hilarious:

Or you could do what I do and keep everything sealed. I don't have to worry about smudges, scratches or fingerprints  And it's alot less stressful because what I don't see under the shrink wrap & J card won't hurt me. :ohno: There are always plenty of un-boxing videos & photos so I'm covered there too. :cigar: For viewing I just pick up the amaray .

Watching an unboxing vid compared to having it open in hand is a completely different experience. In fact they should not be compared lol

Obviously each to their own but what's the point in owning 3 versions of the same steel in a box if your not going to open at least one?! No enjoyment there in the purchase imo

And then taking up even more space and money by buying the ammray of the same film you just bought 3 times in one hit!

I'm not getting into a delbate here but it's just never made sense to me.... Ever

I used to collect as you mention and not open so to Keep sealed, but a nice Ninja pointed out that if I was not going to sell any of my Collectibles, why Keep sealed ?

Ever Since I am Opening everything(I do Double Dip on Some titles at times though), but mostly Open all my Collectibles and It does bring me Much more joy this way, it is so much fun to enjoy the Premium Collectibles that are made to enjoy Open !

The old sealed vs opened debate. Plenty of arguments from both sides I can see. Some like to open the product and actually enjoy what you pay for. Others like to keep it sealed as it feels more precious and special that it is 'sealed'.

Without going off Topic because it was simply a reply to my message, I do understand both side as I have been there so whatever type of Collector you are it's all Good

Now lets get back Discussing this Fabulous Release

Yup.
No point keeping it sealed unless the plan from the beginning is to sell it.

And if that's the plan why buy it in the first place unless you are a RESELLER.

it's like some sort of an Ecosystem :joy: without those who keep them sealed and resell them, we could not grab copies we would have otherwise missed :hilarious:

I actually would pay more for a open mint copy than a sealed one as I can be sure that there are no hidden defects

I agree. If you are planning to open the steel I always say an 'opened mint' is more valuable than a 'sealed mint', especially for Asian premium steels where there's a 50-50 chance you always seem to get some form of imperfection, whether it is minor, or major, it is still some form of defect.

The only thing you are missing is the 'buzz' of opening this yourself. I personally enjoy unwrapping it and opening the steel when it arrives on my door and be the first to get stuck in, rather than waiting ages for someone to sell their opened mint. If it's defected thats the risk I have to take.

But you don't get to feel the texture of the slips, for example. I unseal everything. Brooke Shields let nothing get between her and her Calvins and I don't let shrink wrap get between me and my steelbooks.
