4 Pop Art steelbooks announced for November - which is fine as I like most of the previous examples.
Just a shame that like many other people I already have 3 of them in steelbooks - with so many films waiting patiently for steelbooks let alone U.K. Blu-ray releases I've got to ask "Why?".
Maybe the answer is that the early original steels for SALT and HELLBOY are not so easy to come by nowadays ? ?
BOYZ 'N' THE HOOD, however, was only released this March :banghead:

Totally agree I think these are nice but particularly Boyz n hood did just get released by Zavvi? When so many other films have not had a single release in a steelbook why are they redoing ones they've just made themselves? Odd

Pass on this particular one (for I don't like the movie), but keep the Pop Art steelbooks coming. Some are very nicely done (Das Boot, Lawrence of Arabia, The Fifth Element, Dr. Strangelove, ... just to name a few of my favorites) and do for a nice change in the collection.

Gotta agree with you. I'm not going to pick this up, mainly because I already have the first one, but I do enjoy their take on art. It's like another Mondo, but different. I like most of them, but I think Dracula might be my favorite. Still need it, too.

I most likely will get this
With UK print run of only 500
These new pop art Steelbooks will sell out quickly especially this one

If I didn't have the first I quite like it but I would have loved films that people don't already own on steelbook, where's breakfast club? :(

Yes, too true, but even though there's only one of John Hughes' directed films out in a steelbook here in the U.K. - FERRIS BUELLER - whose to say that a few of his other films won't soon make the leap from Amaray to steelbook - THE BREAKFAST CLUB, UNCLE BUCK, PLAINS, TRAINS ..., SIXTEEN CANDLES. Heck, why not WEIRD SCIENCE while they're at it.
Good thing is that two of these, including the one you mentioned, were re-mastered for their 30th Anniversary in 2015 (WEIRD SCIENCE and BREAKFAST CLUB) so steelbook packaging would be good for me as I only have the first U.K. Amaray (not re-mastered) releases of both.

I'd be very surprised if any of these four sell out before release date despite the very low print run . . .

^ Edit 1.30AM - OOPS ... (LOL)

On what basis? If it's based on the fact that there's only 500 available, then it really is worrying that people think that a limited print run is more important than other factors.
Have to agree:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:....Hope we don't end up with a run of steel's which are average to okay but with a limited print run, as for pop art steel's in general, I personally think you don't need to try that hard, every film has the source promo material and images for an awesome looking steel, as long as the finish is right with good use of bossing or no bossing (in some case's), Hellboy is my favourite superhero/comic book character and the promo posters available look awesome....

I prefer my other zavvi hellboy steelbook so I will pass. I do want them to continue pop art waves, but like some of you have said, I just wish they'd use movies that haven't already been released as steelbooks.

This is really growing on me... tempted to pick it up and get rid of my other HB steel.

Yes, nice steel, but not 20 quid nice EEK!
I'll pass if they don't adjust the price pronto.

Price adjusted and ordered @GBP 14.39 with Link
