Great original front artwork . . . unfortunate that it's only the front with the artwork but it's the front that matters more than the rest so not too bothered.
Certainly no worse than the original IMO . . . and if you prefer that one it's readily available for about half the price of the new one.
Artwork: Plain, maybe, but elegant and nicely centred in warm colour tones also seen in the title treatment . . . and how often in this day and age - where we have the famous Audrey Hepburn poster with the long holder and the cigarette "painted out" - do we have smoking so visibly on show.

OLD VS. NEW
Upon reflection, this new one is probably my favourite HELLBOY steelbook out of those available and if I had to choose one out of the three available I'd choose the Pop Art.
The other one, the GERMAN one with the mismatched front and back and unnecessary foreign print on the front, is the only other design available apart from the two above:-
At least the new Pop Art is original artwork
and not just a recycle of original poster designs as on the other steelbooks:-

In 2015 he created the steelbook front image for a Del Toro exhibition at Gallery 1988 where it was picked up to be a one-off cover for a special edition steelbook limited to only 500 copies in the U.K. and the rest as they say is history:-
