How do the various Amazon sites ship to the US?

I was wondering if anyone could let me know how the Amazon sites from around the world ship stuff to the US? I have ordered from these three with the following experience:

Amazon.ca-delivered by post office, signature required
Amazon.uk-delivered by post office
Amazon.jp-delivered by DHL, signature required

Can anyone help me out with these:
Amazon.de
Amazon.es
Amazon.fr
Amazon.it

I haven't ordered from .de in a while, but the last time I did no signature was required. I ordered a few things Amazon.es about 3 weeks ago and no signature was required.

Yes, it was shipped via standard mail and arrived via USPS. FYI - shipping is not flat fee
