Just curious to see what the general makeup of steelbook enthusiasts do in their spare time to afford collecting these little pieces of metal.

When I started collecting, I had just finished school and was still working at a local arts and crafts store making shite hourly money. When all those cheap WB steels were rereleased earlier this summer I was excited.

In the past few months I was able to land as job as an IT guy, with salary! Now my problem isn't having enough money to buy the steels, it's having more money and remembering to pay the bills instead of getting all the Blufans and Kimchi releases.

So how do you guys afford your hobby/habit?

I have a good job with crappy salary, i have cut down my drinking about 90% ;) and i don´t eat any more :p

For the first few months when i started collecting i was just shotgunning it (buying anything that i could find) but now i am more selective, still it is a pretty expensive hobby :D

I have started selling my old DVDs I no longer watch, they dont sell for a lot but it all helps. After selling about 20 DVDs or so, it covers the cost of a steelbook or two lol
