No title on the front artwork is fine with me
Title on the spine that's the important area for a title with steelbooks
But, it just weird. What if you like to display your steelbooks?
If it has a title, you are displaying a cool steelbook for IN BRUGE.
Without the title, everybody is gonna ask you if that is a picture of your retarted brother-in-law.

Then I watch their reaction when you explain he's a professional hit man who never misses :giggle::rofl:

Yes! No title, slipcase (hopefully the lack of title means the slipcase will have different artwork too), fantasic film. What's not to like? Beats the pants off that German p.o.s.

I think you guys are getting your McDonagh's mixed up. In Bruges is from Martin McDonagh, who also did Seven Psychopaths. JM's his brother.
Martin is the Celebrated "UK David Mamet" playwright turned director....
His brother is....riding his coattails!! JM is not even in the same zip code as Martin, talentwise.
Think - Ron Howard/Clint Howard, or Patrick Swayze/Don Swayze....

I know they are brothers. I didn't say it was the same guy. I like both of their stuff. I loved Calvary also.

In Bruges, The Guard and Calvary-The McDonagh Trilogy if you like! :p

Well, they both know how to use them four letter words. As much as I love Mamet, M McDonagh definitely beats him as a filmmaker though. Some of Mamet's turn at directing is just blegh. That being said, the guy is still one of the most amazing writers ever. There's a memo he wrote for the writers of The Unit that pretty shows just what a complete understanding of storytelling he has. Google it if you've never read it.

Unpopular movie opinion of the day - Ron Howard is an awful director. I'll give him Rush and Eight Days a Week though.

I'm not completely sold on JM yet. I thought both The Guard and Calvary were fine, but that was it. Both of them felt a little too... precious for lack of a better word. It's like he really wants that festival cred.

Great film, NOT great artwork.
Worried by the price showing @GBP 24.99 (yes, I know that's NOT going to be the pre-order price). Why worried? because, if the other slipcased steelbooks are selling well, Zavvi may decide to shove the current GBP 15.99 prices for these and increase prices to GBP 17.99 or, perish the thought, GBP 19.99 just because of the addition of a - - - - slipcase. God . . . hope I'm wrong !!!

Anyway as I mentioned this is in my opinion not the best choice of cover art for this steelbook v and would have preferred this one to be honest v :-

The other original poster choice - with the bullet shattered glass - has been a bit overused on steelbooks so it's a "No" to that one from me even though it could be potentially the best choice of the three for the front artwork of this steelbook:-

Maybe the less good choice of steelbook artwork (IMO) but what do I know as just spotted that's what they went with for the 2011 German steelbook edition (suppose they must have had a bundle left over . . . ):-

For the steelbook slipcase - how about this JBHI-FI exclusive from 2011 (if the exclusivity has lapsed) ?:-

. . . although my favourite for the SLIPCASE ARTWORK - taken from two of the four images on the double-sided postcards found inside the Poster Edition - would probably not be allowed . . .
You know the ones - "WHERE THE F*** IS BRUGES on the front on a yellow background with bullet holes.
The answer to the question can be the back artwork "IT'S IN F***ING BELGIUM" over the image of Bruges.
Tried to Google these mini posters/artcards without success so will have to photograph and post pics of the my cards later.

Thanks, I'll look up the Mamet memo. He didn't hit them all out of the park (most directors don't!), but his failures are better than most others successes. (He has since been essentially blackballed from Hollywood for becoming a conservative...)
