Plot: A queen, desperate to obtain the gift of shape shifting, makes a daring play: she hires the sorceress Gray Alys, a woman as feared as she is powerful. Sent to the ghostly wilderness of the Lost Lands, Alys and her guide, the drifter Boyce, must outwit and outfight man and demon in a fable that explores the nature of good and evil, debt and fulfillment, love and loss.

Milla Jovovich oh, ******g pls. Then again, haven't watched Anderson movies since ... forever.

Now this is how you make a fun, dark, post-apocalyptic movie – even with all of today's 'modern' detractors, like too much green screen, to the point of actors being kinda bored sometimes, and without cool songs, even though the original score this time is pretty good in places. Great intertwined story that actually makes sense, evil church that's not offensive and caricaturistic, like in Mickey 17, so you're happy to see an uprising. Even fantasy elements, which I don't usually like, are good here, everything is well designed and looks beautiful.
We got cool Milla again, in a Paul Anderson film, toting two pistols and other weapons, she's even named Alice again, only spelled Alys. :D
The action is quick and diverse, story goes through a literal map with half a dozen interesting locations, that in some other anal-retentive hands would be turned into a 3-hour bore, like one of those Lord of the Rings... yeah, I said that.
I enjoyed it, this is exactly the kind of movie that I love and expected, and it did not disappoint!
