Wouldn't mind seeing the film but if it's anything like angels and demons I'll skip it.

Don't mention zavvi exclusive so I'll wait for another retailer or a drop after release

Definitely not a fan of the TBC artwork for the front of this steelbook and the only other contender out of the 15 or so official poster designs suitable for the front of our steelbook is this one (IMO)

Not heard a thing about this film and was wondering at first if we were in for a re-issue of the 1980 Argento classic although quite unnecessary as that steelbook was just fine. Then of course I saw the cover with Tom Hanks and the print mentioning the previous two in the series . . .

Got me thinking about how many Blu-rays I've bought recently with Inferno in the title and I was surprised to count as many as six:-
(1) TOWERING INFERNO (1970's disaster classic with all star cast which everyone has watched at least once)
(2) GREEN INFERNO (Eli Roth and cannibals and not as bad as reported)
(3) DANTE'S INFERNO: AN ANIMATED EPIC (self-explanatory)
(4) INFERNO (mid 1950's hokum from newish U.K. label Panamint Cinema - label responsible for recently selling me the moving "Madame X" with the inimitable Lana Turner probably most famous for her role here as well as in the emotional roller-coaster that is "Imitation of Life" and anyone without a tear in at least one eye by the end of that film has got to have a heart of stone (LOL)
(5) INFERNO (from Dario Argento and Arrow and not one of my favourites- despite owning 3 editions of it - reportedly limited to 2,000 pieces and still available more than two years later).
(6) RUROUNI KENSHIN: KYOTO INFERNO (bought steelbook a while ago but not watched film yet).
Probably others but these are the only ones I'm familiar with.

On the one hand, if it's going to be the design in the OP I'm hoping it will look more like the mock-up for ITALY than the mock-up for the U.K..
Expecting the same design/colouring for both but my preference would be for the Italy mock-up because of the design on the spine and because it's less zoomed in showing more of the background artwork and less of Mr. Hanks. Title only though:-
ITALY / U.K..
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the other hand, maybe it should be something in a Project Pop Art style to style to go better with the two previous U.K. steelbooks:-
DA VINCI CODE ...............................ANGELS & DEMONS

At HMV now for GBP 19.99

At ZOOM now for GBP 17.10 (after SIGNUP10)

. . . and could look like this . . . and even though he looks like he's about to burst into tears fingers crossed for some 'Bossing on that title and one good thing that ties all 3 steelbooks together is the circular motifs in each and sure good to see all the superfluous print from the Italian mock-up missing on the U.K. mock-up :-

Just ordered with zoom with the 10% off and you get a free dvd(there's a choice of a around 10 different tittles) the dvd gets sent out straight away with pre orders.. I pre ordered something else a while ago and the dvd came within a few days of placing my order.

That's interesting. Maybe they are giving away dvd's because they are worthless :)

It's quite possible. I'd much rather have a pop art of Inferno to match the previous two than this. I know the first two were horrible but the lot would at least match :)

I love the pop art for the first one. Not so much the second.

Still need to pick up da Vinci code

Yeah pop art would be cool for this. Don't like the current cover

Finally watched the film, thought it was better than the second but not as good as the first plus I see the twist a mile off

Hanks as always was great though

More of a one time watch and with that boring cover its a definate pass
