Yeah really enjoyed possessor. Gutted I missed the German steel. Really liked the art on it too.

Still not seen crimes either
I have an extra copy of Possessor 4k in my trade/sales thread....just saying....
I watched Crimes of the Future and was a bit disappointed tbh. Some really disturbing ideas and visuals, but not even close to his prime (Scanners, Videodrome and The Fly)

You do know this is not David Cronenberg though? It's his son Brandon.....

You know what, I never actually look there because most people are trying to rip others a new ar$ehole. Just checked, not bad I suppose but after conversion with shipping a little more than what I originally wanted to spend. Cheers tho

Yeah, I know. You were the one lumping them in together earlier as well, which does make total sense in this case to do so, because Brandon is clearly H E A V I L Y influenced by his fathers' style and works in the same genre. After watching Possessor and Crimes of the Future back to back, I preferred Possessor and cannot wat to watch Infinity Pool, cause it has Mia Goth also :)

Possessor was superbly odd, creepy and disarming. Loved it.
Infinity Pool fell way short of that for me; it felt forced and overly exploitative with nothing much to say.
Brandon has a great depth of creativity and I'm looking forward to what he comes up with in the future. I was disappointed with this one though.

Yeah, just you then mentioned 'his prime' and mentioned The Fly and Scanners in the same sentence ..... I thought you were talking about his dad.

Well, Brandon has done 3 movies so far, so I guess his prime is still to come. Reviews for Infinity Pool were pretty mixed, but the story itself is just so creepy and morally ambiguous, that I'm curious and will buy that Steelbook for sure. Is it back in stock yet @Flloydo @hatredhorror ?

I was actually disappointed by both, Crimes and Pool. First one felt a bit too timid and slow, despite great world building.
Infinity Pool just takes one of the ideas from movies such as The 6th Day, Moon, and Xchange, and explores it further in depraved ways.

I can't say one is better than the other, but at this moment David Cronenberg feels like an Alice Cooper concert, and Brandon like a Crystal Method one...
