I'm wondering this as well. Sony is usually gloss but we do need confirmation.

This isn't your average matte finish though. There is a great sheen on it. Almost has a glossy look to it....

This is not a gloss finish. This is too good for a matte finish. Its like a satin finish Its like the zavvi aliens glossed finish. Its not a super high gloss but there is definite shine which you can see on the close up photos.
There is metallic shine on the child on the front. On the back the hammer shines and her diamond ring.
All images can be clicked on for a closer view. They are all high res and can be viewed at full scale.

hey u mean like the play.com Battle Royal steel rick?
there was a discussion a while back about weather that was glossed or not ....i figured it was like a very low quality gloss (or high quality zero finish dependin on how u look at these things)
