I get this might not be that exciting for people who've already snagged their Manta copies but Interstellar premiums are basically unobtainable at current prices. I have quite a large collection but the most I've ever spent on a single slip was £145 so even if I absolutely loved Interstellar I couldn't justify the £400-500 whatever a Manta slip is going for so having this option is nice.

It probably doesn't matter, it's going to be a bloodbath and prices will quickly follow after the Manta prices...

He’s got 2 sites. One of them sells them for less. The only reason I don’t buy Manta (I think that’s the ones he mostly sells there) is because I can buy them for about the same price elsewhere including shipping, whereas he adds a shipping charge on top of it.

TBH, the entire thing would probably be better if they didn’t do group buys, though for Manta, I kinda welcome it, because they go on sale so early in the morning, but when i started buying these 8 years ago, I could get on Weet or Manta and get them direct. Now I find it virtually impossible, though i they all had locks on the purchase for 5 minutes (like when buying concert tickets), then it’d be much easier.

That said, someone somewhere brought up the price of Manta’s version (which I own) and I was gobsmacked at the prices. I’m tempted to sell my OC, if I can get 3 or 4 grand for it. I like it, but for 3-6 grand, I’d have no problem parting with it. I have no idea why someone would pay that much. Then again, maybe the price will crash once Weet’s is released. ‍

I'd do exactly the same thing if we're talking several thousand, it'd have to be my absolute favourite thing in the world to justify hanging onto it as otherwise I wouldn't be able to ignore the math, 3k is probably enough for me to grab every remaining grail I'd want or hey maybe something actually productive instead for once.

People are utterly mental. For a box they'll never open up, kept on the shelf and taken down to look at the outside once in a while before putting it back.
Nope. I'll never understand the mentality of that.
I guess it's all relative to affordability, if not that, then it most certainly has to be viewed as an investment. It just doesn't seem like a hobby at that point.

The most popular weet edition in group buys is by far the A2 black hole/sphere edition. Manta's entire outer boxset is the black hole/sphere image and it's glows in the dark on top of that. Manta has nothing to worry about. I think Manta's may increase in value once people hold both one clicks side by side.
