Just wonder why everyone need the taiwan version while the steel are all the same as the other country release. Is it just because of the slip?

Purely for the slip. Every other release, except Germany, seems to have the same slip whilst this one has something totally different. If you're into slips then this one is a big deal, Embossed lettering, continued artwork on the slip and it covers the spine. If you're not then it won't bother you.

Also this has the 3D disc, which is what I want, and is only a few pounds more shipped to me than the Zavvi one. I've also never had a damaged steel from JSDVD so I have faith I am going to get a mint one rather than going through the zavvi lottery.

Just paid shipping at JSDVD. Total price is ~35€:D
5€ more compared to zavvi for an asian release including 3D. Good Deal I think;)

I chose "merchandise" when I had the choice because they wrote that they would declare 1/3 of the value. It's my first order with them, does this work out?:D

Slip - Gorgeous

Steelbook - A major let down.

Studios: Listen. A Steelbook without a title is ridiculous and make sure that the design is in-line with IM1 and IM2. I am hoping for a re-release with glossy finish, title on the front and an artwork that matches IM1 and IM2

They've followed avengers assemble / the avengers on title less , but iron man 3 is iron man 3 worldwide i would have thought.

Is there at least spot gloss on the arc? Or complete matte??

Worryingly it seems paramount have dumped their super high gloss finishes on their steelbooks now :(

I don't see any spot gloss treatment bud. Maybe there is, in one or two spots on the back but it is very very faint. The embossing on the arc reactor is thin too. I am not saying this is rubbish quality but I expected some bit of commonsense with the design to go well with Iron Man 1 and 2.

Avengers is another dud Steelbook release.

The issue here is Disney and not Paramount, me thinks.

the US steels of Avengers had the title, as did a few other countires I believe.
The UK got lucky with a title-less steel due to the crapy 'assemble' name change.

I actually prefer title-less steels. They look nicer when displayed outwardly.

US, Canada, Asia...got Viva's of The Avengers.

Only Europe & Australia got Steelbooks....

The Viva's have titles on the cover too. Here's the FS one (not sure why it comes out on it's side):

Yep thats right. I was told choose merch. Because at the end of the the day its just a small light package really compared to alot of stuff that gets shipped around the world, so the customs officers are not too fussed when they can see the paperwork is correctly filled out etc etc they are not going to be investigating too much etc etc.

Trust me i have used JSDVD before they are excellent

Well I wish somebody would tell the customs officers in Coventry that. Mine has been held for inspection for a week now, with a hefty charge no doubt to follow. In fact I can't remember the last time I wasn't charged for a JSDVD package - pretty much happens every time, no matter how I have them declare it. :(

I feel for ya....nothing worse than paying for EMS and having your package sit inbound of customs:ohno::ohno: My last 2 out of 3 have done the same thing....not:cool:

I am totally freaking out. After a very confusing tracking the package with my two copies finally arrived at home.

The tracking said the package arrived at the customs in Germany last Tuesday,
on Wednesday it was out for delivery,
then delivered to another customs office,
then nothing for Thursday to Saturday,
Saturday out for delivery again,
Now it was delivered a few minutes ago.

And the best is: without any customs fees. EEK!

So two customs offices had this package from "JSDVD Mall" from Taiwan market as gift in hand and said "Okay...nothing suspicious". :hilarious:

Fortunately the good people at JSDVD know how to use bubble wrap properly and the contents were safe and sound!

As everyone else has said already, what a beautiful slip

No customs issues here either.

I am on the order site can someone please explain the difference between ems shipping vs airmail, I am in canada the cheaper option is Airmail ... Ems is default , Can I select airmail?...however I do not want to receive the mug and steelbook damaged.. anyone use airmail method before I assume they are the same just that Ems is a shorter waiting period?
