Oh well, one out of two orders were cancelled...At least I'm not going to end up with loads of tinny Iron Mans

I have cancelled xxxxxx.

Unfortunately xxxxx has already been dispatched.

Once an order is sent we cannot cancel it until it is received back in our warehouse

Guys, you have to understand that if the status is "Awaiting Shipping" it means they have been packed and ready to to be delivered. They would be sitting in a room or the corner of the warehouse ready for a courier or Australia Post van to pick up and start the ball rolling with delivery. It is actually, logistically easier on them if they ship from that point in and get returned rather than trying to find the order amongst 100's/1000's and putting them back into stock (perhaps no-so-logistically-smart for international orders however).

I got lucky, only placed my order last night, and after reading this thread, sent them an email about 2 hours ago, they have replied to say that they have cancelled my order. It was showing as processing at the time though, so i'm happier now!

Hi buddy,
yeh,i agree with what your saying, that ship has unfortunatly sailed,
I recieved an email this morning at 8.20am saying my orders has just been dispatched...even after i cancelled early afternoon the previous day.
My concern is not for us as its not going to cost anywhere near as much to return as our mates abroad. Our overseas mates are gunna get screwed here, with heavy costs to recoup their pre-order $$$$.
Ive sent an email at 2.30am straight to the top of the tree this morning...Unfortunatly he's in europe and won't be back till monday 13th aug
ALL I WANNA TRY AND DO IS GET SOME SORT OF COMPENSATION FOR OUR NINJA BROTHERS OVERSEAS..Its up to us NINJA'S in AUSSIE land to try and put it right for them.

OK GUYS BEST UPDATE I CAN GIVE YOU AT THE MOMENT........
HERE ARE 2 NAMES AND EMAIL ADDRESSES .. LOAD YOUR WEAPONS AND POINT THEM IN THE DIRECTION OF :naughty::naughty:
EDITED BY DRUM18: This ain't the way to change things...

Guys,
I can see your frustration on the "quality" of this slip. Let's try to stay civilized and see what we can do, as a community to let know JB Hi-Fi and others parties that this ain't the way collectors love their metal slip!

We have great communication channels here with our admins, the info has been passed, we'll see what we can do! :scat:

Im afraid CraigH, Is spot on buddy...Ive personally never had to return anthing to JB before, but as CraigH has explained thats how i see this working...This cost to return is obviously far less for us than any overseas account and will leave a very nasty taste im sure in your mouths for any future orders from this or any other forum....
As for what can i do to help......FOR WHAT ITS WORTH GUYS...
Im currently writing up an email explaining that the members of this forum whom There are many thousands are extremly AGGITATED and feel that they have been decieved by the false DESCIPTION forwarded on YOUR online site reguards to your current listings of IRONMAN Ect..Now they feel even more cheated because of MANY ORDERS had been processed BEFORE AUSTRALIAN MEMBERS were able to see the quality of the product. They now find they have to return these items INCURRING SOME LARGE POSTAL EXPENSES back to you just to obtain a refund.
As this will NOT GO DOWN WELL,you will find that this action will result in many future orders to JB HIFI either declinning significantly from overseas members and a reputation that will no dought filter though the online bluray and steelbook community that any and all future listings from JB HIFI ARE TO BE AVOIDED because of the risk factor of incurring further costs.
This would be a SERIOUS BLOW im sure to your reputation or it could be a great chance for your company to rise to the occasion and show some compassion to our fellow members abroad who pre-ordered AND SUPPORTED your products well in the past and very recently.
Is there any way that your company can restore the faith and confidence in our online bluray and steelbook community and if so could you please advise me ,as soon as possible so i can convey your actions to the thousands of members...restoring their faith in your company..
I look forward to your response
KIND REGUARDS
BLAR.. BLAR.. BLAR
PERSONALLY I THINK ITS LIKE SPITTING INTO THE WIND AND TELLING YOURESLF ITS RAINING....But what the hell we'll give it a go.

Gary, so should I just reject the item when the delivery reaches my door? Then I wouldnt have to bear the cost of going to the post office and sending it back. That wont work?

No mate, As the $$$$ would have been extracted from your account. You will need to return the parcel to be able to claim your refund.

Well this sucks! About the only time I've ever gotten a pre-order placed in time with JB HiFi, lol. I should have known something would screw up.

Honestly I think the best thing to do for international buyers is to offload them on eBay. There will always be some people who will want to buy an Iron Man limited release, even if it looks about as sturdy as a fast food carton!

Feel bad for those guys who ordered the whole wave.

im a little confused by the thread and the pictures posted... so are these even made out of metal or steel? or are they just cardboard? And are the ratings logo's printed or stickers?

Tricky question, steel is technically a variation of metal. :D
But those are metal slipcase, feels a lot lighter than The Godfather or Scarface edition tho. All the logos are printed.

well the printed logo's alone kills it for me. So i guess these are more made out of the same tin material like the pacific and band of brothers sets I assume.

thanks for the info and pics btw.

I calculated $26 USD a piece, before GST. They will only remove that once I receive the order.

Unless these were limited to 1k each, don't think it will come out in our favor. Plus the fees for selling.

Feel bad for those guys who ordered the whole wave.

Just recieved my 6 boxes....
Some questions Answered...I HOPE..
This is a metal slip case
This metal is not much thicker than a cardbourd slipcover
Bluray logo and rating logo is printed on
The artwork on back is printed on
This is a 2 disc edition
Back cover has 2 thick fold overs..top and bottom
This is NOT...even close to previous slip covers like recent GODFATHER and other Known AUSSIE SLIPS
Is it a dissapointing product....."UNFORTUNATLY YES" :tear:

I won't be opening up the other boxes as im sure the quallity is all the same
