No, the seller would be the one who is corrupt in my analogy. I am irritated because I bought a SteelBook with a numbered card when the number on that card does not accurately reflect the print run of the SteelBook that it came with. The seller is corrupt because they deliberately sold the steels, knowing this information would be inaccurate. They then announced the release of more of the same print after everyone purchased the steels with the inaccurate cards. It might seem minor, but I don't appreciate being lied to.

And I my analogy wasn't meant to suggest that corrupt SteelBook vendors are equally as bad as corrupt politicians. It was intended to point out the fact that just because something has happened before, doesn't make it acceptable.

I didn't think the numbered card was ever meant to represent the number of steels produced rather the number of exclusive packages produced. I have the Kimchi Thor lenti numbered XX of 700 but the actual steel was produced in the 00's worldwide.

But the lenti was a limited print, wasn't it?

Unless a release has World Exclusive Artwork WEA, the steelbooks inside the "exclusives" are the same. It's the extras and slip(s) that are different. When eTailers list a print run the number, it's for their "packaging". Some people get hung up on print runs and "exclusivity". It's not corruption, it's some people don't know what they're buying. And information, including listed print runs, can be inaccurate. Buyer beware!

Buy it because you like it, not that you think you're getting something "rare".

You're right. I am very literally minded, and as such thought that when something says there are only a certain number of prints, that either the art printed on steelbook or the packaging would be limited to that number. I did not understand that print was being used as a synonym of the word bundle.

It still seems rather disingenuous to me.

Why are you complaining about it? It's NOT THE FIRST TIME that a regular edition without numbering card and gifts exists BESIDE the Kimchi exclusives.

We have enough examples --> T2 (it was the first one!), Monsters Inc, Tangled, MU, Thor, Frozen, Amelie, Rush, Her....
This Iron Man non-exclusive release is more in line with T2 and Leon. The non-exclusive releases for these three had/have the same slip as one of the exclusive releases.

With Monsters Inc, Tangled, Monsters University, Thor, Frozen, Amelie, Rush and Her the non-exclusive release has a different slip cover from the exclusive releases, making the exclusive releases a bit more different. Maybe not a big deal to everybody, but it is another difference besides the exclusive stickers and numbering cards (no numbering with T2).

Her is again slightly different from the rest as a release with the same slip as an exclusive release has been available elsewhere, too, but not sold internationally if I understand correctly.

I guess we can expect there will be none exclusives for every steelbook from Kimchidvd, even when they don't put it up initially. There would be further outrage from collectors if there were goodies inside, a numbering card, Lentis for the none exclusives, it could be worse.

anybody from the UK who ordered with K-Packet had theirs arrive yet?
I'd expect them to start turning up on Monday/Tuesday (for UK K-Packet orders), based on past experience.
However considering it's the run up to Christmas, it may take longer than that.
