I'm following someone on twitter who said if Zavvi make the steelbook available separately they will never buy from Zavvi ever again
Surely they're trolling? Either that or they just love zboxs! Probably one of the over excited people we see in YouTube opening the Zbox!

I don't know if it was a success because the June Cops ZBOX is still for sale a couple of months later (which is surprising considering it includes (?) that rather handsome large Dredd badge - IMO rather useless as a badge - no fixing pin on the back if I remember correctly - more as a display item/collectable).
The steelbook, despite its obvious flaw, has sold out as a standalone item as we all know and the only reason that I can see for the Cops ZBOX to sell out is because people can no longer buy the steelbook by itself and are left with the choice of buying it with the box for 43 quid or on the secondary market where it is changing hands at around the 30 quid level.
The wording on the zBox information seems to suggest that it will be available separately down the line. "Purchasing this month's zBox also guarantees that you will get your hands on the limited edition Iron Man steelbook". To me that sounds like they will make some available for individual sale. I have my zBox order in, I want the steelbook and if I get a Funko Pop then the price is justified seeing as the steelbook will be £24.99.
I've pre ordered this but make no mistake if this gets a solo release I'm cancelling the bundle.
I know I'm feeding the Zbox model, but I don't tend to think of it as a clever marketing ploy. More like I'm paying £40 for a steelbook and it's got some curious packing material.

It should get a solo release but by pre ordering the bundle your not helping the solo release at all.
Also they probably won't announce the solo steel until they have sent all the sh*tboxes out.
I can see some annoyed customers after this. But also there own fault for falling for the Zbox
Like I've said I fell for these a couple of times and after a lot of messages and pain I managed to send them back for refunds. They are terrible
I wouldn't dream of buying a steelbook with a ZBOX but that's not unusual as I'm not the target audience - I can however see the point of these boxes as some have what could be considered decent stuff inside such as that Dredd display badge or those collectable Funko Pops. These boxes also serve a purpose as Birthday / Xmas presents for family members and you can keep the steelbook which is all you ever wanted in the first place. . .
Whatever the merits or otherwise of these boxes they are here whether we like them or not and if like me you wish to buy this steelbook by itself then a little patience is required
However, let's hope they don't make a habit of this by making us wait for standalone steelbook in the future !

he will find out 2 weeks tommorrow when they ship out on 31st aug the z-boxes and reckon within the week or 2 after that the single steels will go for pre-order as main listing shows with the steel released in sept but no date,i expect will be around 21st-28th as a guess.
i wonder how many will fall into the trap this time?
then be jumping up and down after the event and if so they will have no sympathy from me as everyone had been warned of zavvi past ploys regarding zboxs.
dredd as one example off the top of my head.
zavvi would have to have some balls to keep this zbox only imho, just think what they have done in the past. think they are just testing the water to see what they can get away with and try a new marketing ploy first.
I just hope most people have got the common to leave it alone other wise you are playing into there hands and this will happen more often, which is where we all don't want to go.
no one should ever be forced to buy one product to get another its just ridiculous
