Is KOSM a scammer?!?!

MOD UPDATE - turns out King of Steel Media (@Kosm aka Matt aka CreativePlus aka MovieCrate) is most likely a scammer to some extent, so I urge people not to purchase from him. If you've been unfortunate enough to have done so already, then please make a claim through your bank/Paypal ASAP!

Hi All,

As I see more and more complaints about this reseller and have a issue myself with this guy, I was wondering what's going on, I ordered some 'in stock' items back in November;

...And now still waiting for the refund as I wad done waiting and especially when this fella informed a couple weeks back that the OC of Tenet was NOT even in his possession. WTF?!?! And now I get these mails regarding these custom releases he's releasing himself...
How is it even possible if you cannot even manage forwarding 'in hand' items...

As it stands, the thread reads like he is 100% scammer and you're lucky if you receive an item. I added that in my experience I have always received my orders. I'm not praising, just balancing out for people that are being convinced that they are unlikely to receive their orders. Imo, I've always received my items. Sometimes early, sometimes after a few month delay. Point is, I have always received.

We have them imported via boat so that there is less interference with customs.

What the heck does this mean? I'm not from the UK, but this makes it sound like anything coming through on a boat just gets cleared through. That can't be how it works.

I’ve always received my orders from him too ( a few turned up this week), although months after ordering even when he has the items in hand. I don’t feel like he’s a scammer, more extremely lazy and not very customer oriented.

You won’t get one. The guy couldn’t care less about his customers all he’s bothered about is lining his pockets with scalping UK releases then selling them for inflated prices or with paid memberships to get your orders in a timely fashion it’s a pathetic way to run a business anyone who pays for them is a moron

Another report here of a scam... Ordered the custom Last Samurai steel from him back in January. Never heard anything, doesnt respond to messages and of course the order and product is nowhere to be found on the website.

I was not aware of issues with KOSM until reading this thread has anyone ordered from there direct website recently and received their items .i ordered from them about 18 months ago direct with no issues whatsoever

Not recently, but after ordering the the HD Zeta LOTRs last March, worrying that they would never arrive, I did eventually get them near the end of September. I only ordered twice from him, and I did eventually get the items I ordered. I can't speak for others though. His lack of communication, ridiculously long shipping time with items that were supposedly in stock, and worrying things like chaging his website so you couldn't view your old orders anymore, really damaged his reputation.

Been informed he's now operating under the name MovieCrate on eBay (calling it one of his new "partners" ) as well as CreativePlus on Facebook, so obviously avoid! Still up to his old tricks anyway... people continuing to make orders and then being left in the dark. His Trustpilot rating is one of the lowest I've ever seen lol

I pre ordered mine from kosm in November it finally turned up about 2 weeks ago after chasing it up with one of their admins Tom Covington - it’s a beautiful set the only. 1-click I own
