I know a few people seemed to be worried about this selling out fast...but, I have a differing opinion on that.
I was on board for "Whiplash" and "Nightcrawler" steelbooks.
"Whiplash" did not sell out in minutes. In fact, I believe it was still around for weeks. Lentis and the full slip. And similarly, had just a steelbook release a few months before.
I'm guessing quite a few people got their fix for special treatment of the film from that.
"Nightcrawler" was around for weeks as well.
But, I think here's the biggest thing. Just not a lot of people have seen it. "It Follows" made $14 million at the box office. "Whiplash" made around $49 million. And that's with Oscar buzz.. "Nightcrawler" made $38 million. That's worldwide. Not many people saw these movies in theaters.
These movies just haven't been around long enough for enough people to see it, for it to become a huge cult hit, like say maybe a "Memento".
This is all just my opinion, of course. I will be up at 1am May 4 ready to purchase! Hoping I'm right.

As a rule of thumb - any special edition releases of anything Sci-Fi or Horror tends to go fast.

Is that true? I can't think of any special edition steelbook releases of horror movies, but then again I'm not a fan of the horror genre. This release looks pretty sweet, though, so I'm planning to pick it up.

Oh well..maybe I'm wrong. But, $14 million at the box office is terribly low. And 700 for Lenti A, 1000 for Lenti B sure seem like a lot. We shall see soon enough! Tick tock. Tick tock!

I seem to always get full slips, and I am always happy with them. But the full slip art is just not doing it for me. Lenti A does it for me. Give me the cute girl. And the car's in there, so it ties in to the actual steel.

Add Dredd to that list. Made what approx 35-40 million. And still available on Nova

I doubt this will be a fast sell out
I could be wrong of course as some releases that sell out fast are often the ones that are unexpected

My guess is that this will be around for a few days and possibly longer

One of the Lenti's might sell out on the day and the one click as usual will be sold out first

I don't like that they changed the artwork for the Full Slip I was all set to get the full slip when it was the previous artwork

I might get one of the lenti instead but I'm not in a rush to get this if its still in stock on Thursday afternoon or the following days/weeks I will decide then

If it does sell out fast and I miss out I will have funds available for another release instead
