The production budget for this film was only 2 million
It had a limited run in the cinemas but still managed a box office return of 20 million

That's considered a box office hit and is why there is a sequel planned

How much of a following and interest does this film have in Asia market

I heard there was a sequel planned but the director said only if it's right, plus I read that he had some ideas that couldn't be done in this due to budget etc and he wants to bring that into the sequel if "it happens" (that could be the sequel title lol)

I'm still really undecided about which one of these to go for.

I like the effect of the pool on lenti 2. Probably the best overall design but I don't think the white coloured slip goes with the tone of the movie at all. Especially with a black steelbook inside it!!

Lenti 1 is more in line with the style of the film but is kinda boring if I'm honest as the art was already used on the UK Amaray and the back is the same as the back of the U.S. steelbook.

Full slip not really doing it for me either. Although I bet it'll look real nice in hand (as Spectre did)

Really torn at the minute about which one to choose.......

Exactly my thoughts but I've decided on lenti B. Also because I own the UK ammray with the velvet slip and plan to get the USA version I want different styles so lenti B is perfect in that sense for me.
I bet lenti A will look great but i prefer what they are going for in B and I also don't like the full slip but I imagine will be fantastic in hand

Was in exactly the same boat as yourself until yesterday. I feel your pain :D

Thankfully after seeing the new slip choice that ruled one of them out for me making it easier, but like you say that slip will indeed probably look great in hand.

I do like the imagery on B but the white spine is my main offender. I also own the UK amaray so was reluctant bout A for a bit but I've finally settled on it purely because 1. The re-used amaray image (as slightly boring as it is) will be an actual lenticular as opposed to a still and 2. the whole package will match up in tone and colour. Plus, if the disc is indeed region free like the site says I'll prob end up selling my amaray, or keeping it coz the commentaries are different, God damn the completionist in me :D

I hope you make up your mind before it goes live, I understand your frustration completely.

Totally unrelated but I'm obsessed with this movie and my U.S. steel arrived today. While not a patch on this upcoming beauty I'm really pleased with it overall. Did you pick it up yourself or settle with this one?

Anyway, like I said, hope you decide before 6AM, tick tock... :D

We're on exactly the same page alright. I was kind of settled on Lenti B but now you've swayed me towards Lenti A again!!! D'oh!!

I have a copy of the U.S. Steelbook on the way to me soon also. I'll probably end up just keeping one though (more than likely the Kimchi!!)

Haha, I'd love to keep my reply short with a simple one click that b**ch but alas when you're hooked on this hobby ya gotta cut corners..

Let me know what you decided to go with. No need to set an alarm on my end, one of my 3 little tykes will have me up at 6AM and I'm snagging a lenti A. Can't wait to own this!!!

well...if that's what we have to compare to, I think a minutes fast sell out, is probably not in the cards.
I have no experience with SteelArchive, or those movies...but, from what I could tell...it took a few days to sell out. And, they only had a print run of 100. Though, those movies made even less than "It Follows". So, who knows? In about 9 hours I guess we all will.
SPRING sold out in seconds. I wasn't there for Dead Snow, so I don't know how fast that one went.

sorry...I was going off the "Dead Snow" thread. People were still talking about the purchase they just made, at least a few days after the pre-sale started.
As for "Spring"...hmm. Man, I have never heard of this movie. It seemed to have quite the following on it's page, though. But, still...only 100 copies? That's ridiculous.
"It Follows" will have a combined 2400 copies. So, like I said...maybe I am wrong. I have been lucky enough to get these pre-orders in, when I have tried. So, either way..I hope that streak continues!
Good luck to you, if you are trying as well!

TBH, I have zero idea how it will do! But, I decided to go the safer route and joined kaka's GB.
No stress for me!
This is on my top 3 of last year, and I love this movie - so I am taking no chances!:D
(But, yeah, 2400 combined copies IS alot. I didn't know it was so high.)

I still not decided if I'm going to order today

I have enough to order today as my tenant paid the rent a day early than I expected if I wanted to get an order in but I'm not sure if this release is a must have release

The full Slip or Lenti or neither of them

The disc itself extras are very little and that's with all the Blu-ray releases of this film

The collector in me is saying order my wallet is saying get the USA steelbook instead

I'm incredibly disappointed with the new full slip. I've never bought or even heard of Kimchidvd before finding this collection, I'm just a massive fan of It Follows, but I was on board to get the one click until I saw the new full slip... at this point I'm only really interested in the B lenticular, but the collector and opportunist in me is saying I should just get the one click (whether I keep all three or sell the other two) since I'm already paying shipping...

Welcome to the forum @Jamesesesess! You can find out more about Kimchidvd here. There releases are very popular with a lot of collectors!

I like the design of the Lentis better but i much prefer Fullslips, especially since normal slipcovers seam to wear very quicky at the edges. does anyone have any experince with Kimchi's Lenti slipcovers and how thin the cardboard is?

They are pretty much the same as novas,
suppose it all depends on how you keep them. I don't keep the steels in the slips, i take the steelbooks out and keep them in a sealed bag and then either an empty blu Ray case or some bubble wrap in the slip to keep it from squashing and keep those in a sepearte sealed bag too. No wear at all for me

Jesus christ i imagine they wouldn't get worn, you're treating them like crime scene evidence XD
