Open it @Mickle_89 , that liquid fine gloss on the slipbox is gorgeous. Almost wanna eat it.

I realise that the inclusion of extra trinkets is pretty much limited to the constraints of the size of a steelbook/slip but at this point I'm pretty sick of art cards and booklets. Would love someone to come up with a new brand type of extra for us. I'll leave it up to the package wizards to decide what that is.

Also they aught to include a sticker for art card envelopes seperate on a grease-proof patch so we can apply the sticker if we want. I tore my envelope trying to get the bastard off. :p:confused:

My FullSlip Steelbook was in the same condition as the steel in my lenti, exact similar damage and marks... so it has nothing to do with being in the lenti or the fullslips, its just random it seems.
Thanks for confirming that. Must be a manufacturing problem with this one so.

The jury's still out on that new j-card for me though!! :p

Yeah that sticker on the envelope was a motherhumper!!

I gave up trying to peel it off and ended up carefully slicing it across the envelope lip with a blade!

lol love that j-card inside lenti  ...agree for sure there is a manufacturing problem with this Steelbook

Thanks. Tony has been very helpful as always. I sent everything back and Tony will refund asap. I don't own anymore It Follows as 1 click with matching numbers, but atleast steelbook is now gorgeous and looks the way it's supposed to.

Tony has been and told me to be patient he will make it right, but I can't help but worry about receiving steels with bubble wrap prints all over the replacement steelbooks...I don't know what it is but it seems that this steelbook is just not made to be manufactured...still hoping but I will see and if its not up to part I will write back but last I spoke no long ago(this weekend) he needed 1 week or 2 to receive the empty steelbooks from the Publisher.

So Tony right now is just waiting nothing else he can do. I feel bad for him, he is in the crossfire of this whole steel debacle.

I hope you'll get a good copy in the near future my friend. I absolutely love this steelbook design and look, also a huge fan of the film, so I was broken to receive such a horrible looking steelbooks, all 3 of them. I don't know what happened in the manufacturing process, but this has never happened in my collecting years, not in this scale. I can live with minor flaws, but this was way beyond that. I can show pictures of this latest copy soon, but it's completely different to what I had earlier. I think it's as goog as it can be.

My 2 copies were similar damage with marks that look like it was shrink wrapped not dried back of steel on both Fullslip and Lenti A steelbook. Everything else was absolute OCD condition.

I saw real fast the damage on front of steelbook which I took pictures of upon opening and sent to Tony.

many Scratches front + back mostly demarcation and scratches different colors and I was so surprised I have never seen this. Now I know Tony is awating replacement from the publisher to send me my 2 damaged steel replacement but I am so worried as I saw 1 member receiving his copy replacement full of bubble wrap marks on his steel. I just hope they let the suckers dry before shipping them to tony. mine when I unwrapped initially were both fully shrink wrap and when I opened both the horror :OMG: ...but love the movie and lenti A and Fullslip are just stunning releases, just hope to get MINT replacement but to be honest not expecting much. If it would have been matte finish none of this damage would have happened.

I now am so worried with black gloss steelbook finish :wow:

This is the second Kimchi steel I've seen with a "bulging", ploppy front cover, presumably from shoddy embossing. Fifth Element was the same, both protrude far enough past the surrounding border that they create a gap between it and the movie next to it on the shelf, which is just plain ridiculous.

Disappointing, because every other facet of the steel is great, condition-wise mine is perfectly fine, but the bulgy front is just too lame to ignore. I've already seen one other person mention this issue, are they all this way?
So one person replied with the same issue, but no one else, is this an inconsistent defect that I should try to have replaced, or is everyone just ignoring/la-la-la-ing this? I'd love to have a normal, flat copy that didn't annoy me if at all possible, considering how much these imports cost.

To date, I've purchased six different copies of the various editions from multiple sources in an attempt to obtain one steelbook with no flaws. I have failed. Every single one of them has both the bulging/warped front cover and coating scratches all over the place. Several of them have all that plus other things like the permanent smudges that resulted from the shrink wrap being applied before the gloss coating was dry. Quality control on this was a complete and utter joke. This crap better not happen with Let the Right One In.

I was nervous to open my package today, since all 3 earlier ones were so bad, but this time it was great looking copy. I'm very happy now and the difference is like day and night.

You're giving me hope, but I am worried like hell when I will get it, I am so worried to have that bubble wrap pattern to mark the steel :ohno:

...Happy for you mate  your pictures are nice, happy you got it sorted out. it's not prefect as you say but such an improvement to what it was. So glad I open my steels now...well mostly

now just waiting for the publisher to ship the copies to Tony, Hope that Blue will not ship any faulty ones to Tony :( ...I actually feel bad for him, he is in the crossfire of all this
