Yes my copy is perfect on front, backside is not perfect but better than I can here or in France

compared to my copies its night and day... and all the sealed copies that members will keep sealed, out of those ones there must be a high majority that their steels are in bad shape as well.. it seems they really had a hard time to manufacture this steel on a collector level.

If I were to ever buy this in the future in the secondary market why the hell would I pay top dollar for this knowing how many are damaged underneath the wrapping. A sealed copy of this has just been permanently devalued.

Fully agree unless I were to keep it sealed I would never buy it on secondary market, as you say too many seem damaged, it doesn't inspire confidence.

rare though that the scope of damaged steel is that high for a release...

I'm sorry to see most of your copies in that state folks. I'm glad I didn't bother with this one to begin with.

such a great release though...both my copies Fullslip and Lenti were in absolute OCD condition with the lenti, fullslip, bonus items, great care seem to have been taken as all of the packages for me were Flawless...until I removed the shrink wrap on those steels :ohno: ...it was more scary than the film itself

So one person replied with the same issue, but no one else, is this an inconsistent defect that I should try to have replaced, or is everyone just ignoring/la-la-la-ing this? I'd love to have a normal, flat copy that didn't annoy me if at all possible, considering how much these imports cost.

It is something that affects a lot of embossed Steelbooks and has done for a number of years.

Received my full slip with a damaged corner...first time I've ever received a damaged item from Kimchidvd. Hopefully Tony will resolve this satisfactorily.

Sure; especially with big debossed and centered titles. This creates a vacuum effect which causes floppy result in that zone of the steelbook.

Received my Lenti B today, the lenticular blood seems not as good as pictures from others ninjas as from @PadreKarras whos picture are great :photo::thumbs:

Do you have any idea what may have cause the plastic to stick so much to the steel, heat maybe?
For information. sticky glue from j-card can be taken off using lighter fluid, a petroleum base product, may be it will work. Make sure the the gloss is not responsible or bonded to the plastic just deposited, else not recommended.

I Think lenticular blood effect is very good when some light hits it; otherwise it looks black or less defined...

If j-card is what kimchi calls "poster holder", mine came without a drop of glue; completely loose or free.

For the j-card i was talking of the j-cards that came with glue, the j-card only steelbook from zavvi, hmv and others, but not about this release.

I own hundreds of steels, a ton of them are embossed, not one has anything even remotely close to the sort of discernible protrusion on the Fifth Element and It Follows steels. As stated, they actually push away from the movie next to them on the shelf, it's so bad. Sure, my Target Bourne steels are "ploppy", but that's because the grade of tin used was super cheap and the finish was near non-existent. I have never seen a premium-grade steel so poorly embossed that the debossed surface bowed outward past the surface of the outer border. This is not normal. We should not be cool with this.

I own about 10,000 steels. Many of them embossed. The majority of the embossed steels have the same pop sound. It is the space between the plastic frame and the metal. It is a physical thing that is completely normal. Your just taking a shot at Kimchi because you want to. All steels have that space when they are embossed.

lol... ooook, while you're pretending to have the slightest clue, how's about you explain to me why I want to take a shot at Kimchi?

What I want is a steel that resembles the quality of all of the other [embossed] Kimchi steels that I paid ~$50 for. I mean hey, if I was just going to turn around and resell it for a profit I'd surely care a lot less, but that's not what I'm about.
