lol... ooook, while you're pretending to have the slightest clue, how's about you explain to me why I want to take a shot at Kimchi?

What I want is a steel that resembles the quality of all of the other [embossed] Kimchi steels that I paid ~$50 for. I mean hey, if I was just going to turn around and resell it for a profit I'd surely care a lot less, but that's not what I'm about.

I guess you cant have an adult like convo it seems. I know from experience that embossed steels all flex. You are just venting some type of anger against this release. In fact many are and I think they dont realize that the type of gloss they used on this shows any type of imperfection as well. Go look at any glossy steel and examine with a microscope. That is what is being done with this release while other steels get a free pass from certain retailers.

I don't think its as widespread as you make it out to believe. Even the copy I have it is barely noticable unless you shine a lite on it. I have seen some pretty bad quality before and I am not even going to say the name of that company. Clear coats and black dont mix very well. Why do you think one company decided to go matte with their steels last year for a few of them? I am going to open another one and see if it is as bad as you say and if it isn't then it is nothing more than a witch hunt. Every release that comes out you always see somone complaining about the quality. Its getting worse too. More people complaining with the same amount of defects all around.

If Thor had been glossy like this one it would have had scratches show up all over the thing.

I dont go around bashing other retailers. Whats the point? I guess you can live a miserable life if you want. I chose to live a positive energy lifestyle. You can keep the negatives to yourself and be a cheerleader for the one company you would die for. Not my style. I love multiple retailers. I only have a dissatisfaction with one and it is the way they do business and that is it.

You ever buy a new car? Thing is full of scratches. Look up close and the entire thing is scratched up.

NO that ain't true !!! No matter how I love FAC if they drop the ball I will be there first in line pointing it out as I did with their first new hardbox release of Love Rosie. I was not there first in line white gloves in regards to them showing the first prototype of their new hard box. ...but I did voice my opinion over and over but their first box was actually not as bad as they showed the prototype. So you can write it off as I am not all buttered up even if it is FAC. Yes they are my first love but if it ain't quality, do you think I still would actually push how happy I am with the release ? Yes I am it is better than what I had expected to ! and it will get better and better with time. But a fullslip Box that hold 2 exquisite release is much much different than a company trying to give us a perfectly black gloss steelbook. Love Kimchi. Don't know what Happened. Tony has been GREAT !!! but those things happen, it's not as simple as that !

Come on guys, people are free to express their opinions. This steel looks great but it does appear to have widespread issues. There have been several people saying the same thing over and over, I know it's black but there have been other black glossy steels that haven't had these issues. The package overall is fantastic, it's just a shame a lot of people are having issues with the Steelbook. We can all have our say without it turning into an argument.

Received my replacement steel today and gotta say it's worse than my original one, the popping front is worse, the front has some weird blemishes, the back has scratches and paint faults, and the gloss around the edges of all 4 corners is scuffed. Why would they even bother to send this out, makes me hate steelbook collecting at times

That sounds bad, was it already open or did they send another sealed copy? it is just wrong to do this to a customer and poor service if it was sent unsealed in this condition.

I sent them pics of my damaged The Incredibles lenti type B and no answer from them yet. When I dont get a positive answer the next days, then I think that I'll buy their next steelbooks on ebay.
Novamedia sent me a replacement of my damaged Man Of Steel steelbook immediately after I sent them pics.

The Steelbook is Perfect in terms of Design, absolutely Stunning. But it seems it is one that is difficult to have manufactured without any flaws.
