I don't think Nova should trial a different lenticular slip type, aside from JSA and Lone Survivor they have all been o rings, and even JSA had an o ring.. Why break the continuity

The now cult level and popularity of this series, I doubt you'll see actual photo's till this has long sold out and be going for silly prices.

Nova provided live pictures of their Kill Bill slips before the pre-order went live. There also was a Facebook message quoted somewhere in this thread, saying the printing of the slips had started already. So I'd say chances are high we'll see actual photos in due time.

That's because a majority of retailers didnt make boxsets. Now it appears to be standard now and all retailers are adapting this. so yes it does make sense to make a boxset (as all releases are now) but just doesn't match the first because there is no boxset.
