What on earth are you talking about? 1. HK and China are different Regions. 2. WB HK is it's own entity and this title is already licensed. US taxes have nothing to do with it. Plus, it's already been released, as it's already shipping. US buyers will just probably be charged more upon receipt (like any other import), just like most EU countries have been for years.

2. WB HK is it's own entity and this title is already licensed. US taxes have nothing to do with it.

I think he had only half the information or it came out wrong.
What he was probably referring to is that China considering a ban on Hollywood / US films in response to Trumps tariffs.
That doesnt mean HK will do the same (or if it happens at all) but it wouldnt be a surprise if HK follows China here.

Plus, it's already been released, as it's already shipping.

Gotcha. It was a broader question, rather than joker specifc, because like I said, it wasn't impacting this release (apart from import tax). HK do operate independently to CN, so there's no telling what they'll do tbh. There's been lots of chatter r.e hdz and blufans (including info from the retailers themselves), but slim to none r.e manta, which would make me think HK gov haven't decided either way atm. So we'll have to wait and see.

Then will Manta Lab be able to produce steelbooks????
