God I was so young when this first came out.

Would have to say this was my first big blockbuster film I watched (Well that I can remember.

I'm the same mate. I might of seen a big blockbuster before this on the big screen but this is the earliest I remember. I was 6-7 when my dad took me and I was blown away probably the way he was with star wars at that age on the big screen.
For years when I've watched a big blockbuster with huge CGI scenes and they don't look right I always compare it to this movie and the fact it was so ahead of its time with animatronics and CGI and still there are some films today that can't even compete with this level of movie art!

Same here! My story is actually very similar to yours Flloydo... my dad took me to see it and it's one of my first (if not THE first) cinema experiences I remember.

I also own the trilogy collectors tin, but this is a film I'll happily double/triple/quadruple/etc dip on. :D

Yeah I've been trying to remember but I believe this was the first.

The mask wasn't far behind it either.
I can rememeber the mask advert trailer on TV and sitting in my old house on the floor in front of the TV and It came on and I turned round to my dad all exited asking my dad if he can take me to that place he took me to see Jurassic park lol how cute

I clearly remember that

My first Blockbuster was Jaws 1975 I was 9 and then followed by Star Wars 1977 I was 11
I have seen a lot of films after that and some are brilliant classics

I can remember seeing Jurassic Park in the cinema on a big screen back in 1993 I was 27 and was very impressed by what I was seeing the special effects were amazing for its time way ahead of anything before seen

Now with Computer CGI they can do almost anything but back then Jurassic Park was ahead of its time and set a standard that has given us lot more amazing films for special effects

I wish I was 27 again and not now nearly extinct like the dinosaurs :giggle:

Man this is so old now, when I went to the premier in London Primcess Di was there, that's how old this is now.

Can't wait to get these, the first is one of my all time favourite films.

There was a time when trilogy's were actually the thing. Now there seems to be a rush to break them into individual releases. I tend to appreciate compilations better as they hit the right spot on the wallet and shelf space. I do like my BB edition which for me is classy without being fancy.

Then again I remember there is a reason I only pick up few releases from this vendor

I've watched two movies where you could just tell the audience had never seen it's like before ,the first was this one ,the noise and chatter was incredible ,took our breath away.
The second was saving private ryan ,a completely different emotion ,could have heard a pin drop after that one .

Had a similar experience with paranormal activity strangely enough.
And revenge of the sith had a great atmosphere when I see that.

Fantastic film which was made for the big screen. I remember watching this in the cinema and the sound was amazing. I would love to watch it in 3D.
This steel looks nice, would love to see the finished item as recent steel mock-up look okay but the finished products have been much nicer than expected.
