Fortunately I managed to pick one up just before they went out of stock. No thanks to Tesco who I pre ordered it with when it was first announced, only for them to cancel it.

The movie was no where near as violent as the graphic novel, I was slightly dissapointed the first time i watched it, and the Union J part in the movie was a big let down. When I watched it for the second time I enjoyed it for the film it was and now I think its a great sequal and one of the best steelbooks this year. :D

They were basically told point blank certain scenes in the comics had to go as there was no way it would get a certificate. The **** scene was changed, killing kids is a major no no! Both the director and Millar would love to have kept those scenes in but even Millar agrees the level of violence in the comics was never going to make it to screen :)

Had I known this was THAT limited I would've gotten myself a copy. Now it's either thru trade or just get it on Ebay but the prices need to go down a bit. Prefer the UK version though....

how limited is it? or do you mean just because it sold out fast?

its a massively popular film, of course it will sell out. i bet its not even steelbook collectors who have the most copies of this film, but just the average consumer getting what they think is a good edition of a film they like.

Average costumer gonna buy normal amaray. My friends didn't know nothing about stelbooks.

christmas is coming, they might treat themselves. or, they might be looking for kick ass 2, see the different editions in store and just go for the one which looks the 'best'- the steelbook.

there are two steelbook copies sitting on the shelf in the hmv in my town. i have been very tempted to buy one, but the £20 odd they want for it seems steep to me...

I would get it if I were you, you could either trade it with another Ninja for something else you want more, or sell it on eBay, you would certainly make a profit

I could understand it's popular and all but when it's sold on both Amazon and zavvi I figured they had a high amount in stock. Didn't think it will blow out that quickly. I figured wrong I guess...

OK, which one Kicks Ass :D

I ordered the UK one, but if I had to choose one or the other, I might choose the German one since I plan on opening it. I am absolutely shocked that Germany made a steelbook 100% correctly. No German text on the steel, perfect glossy finish, clean back artwork and inside art.

Debossing on the German steel is very cool, but since it's under the card, I actually think the UK version looks better sealed.

Can anyone confirm that the ONLY difference between the 2 steelbooks is the debossing. The gloss is same quality, right?

Got both and except for the debossing they are 100% identical!

There's a few contenders for the title IMO but the closer it gets the more this steelbook has creeped right in at the last knockings and is a BIG contender. I've already made up my mind but who else has ?

I was supposed to get my copy Monday Dec 16 and today is the 23rd and its not here. I contacted amazon.uk, they told me it probably got lost. Now I won't get my copy and everywhere else is oos or 4 times the price. Does anyone have an extra copy for sale?
