As it seemed that most of us love the glossy look, this may off the topic, but would we be able to gloss our matte steelbook ourselves? I mean can we do something like spray coating or something on the surface, it shouldn't be too hard, isn't it? :D

i preordered this a while ago from wowhd because the price was good... now they arr not able to process the order. if they dont get enough stock to send out to all the people who ordered, its just another proof for me that wowhd are the worst of all retailers i ever dealt with (zavvi gets the job done well in comparison).

anyway, i ordered the german edition now as it should be exactly the same hopefully.

Got mine today! It's a nice steelbook, but personally I can't see what it is that is making so many people call it the best of the year. For me, that title goes to ES's Star Trek Into Darkness (The falling Enterprise version).

I think I enjoyed it a little more this time around though, but God - that Union J scene in the girl's bedroom. I don't think I'll ever be able to watch that without tensing up and cringing at that horror of product placement.

If you think that's product placement you really don't know much about this films production I afraid. For a start they are pretty much unheard of outside the UK and that will never change. The producers wanted a much higher profile band "OD" but couldn't afford the cost and "the other band" weren't happy about being used in that way, the scene mocks boybands and their fans. It's most definitely not product placement as the majority of fans that love this series of comics and films are generally male, or female nerds who are not into that kind of thing. That scene didn't make Union J look good in any way, in fact the exact opposite. ;)

When a band's music video takes up the entire frame of a movie then that's product placement, no two ways about it! I'm completely at a miss as to how that even came about - Union J is aimed at a completely different demographic. Maybe it was done as a mockery, but in my opinion it was a fail.

I used my ultraviolet for this yesterday and for some reason it gave me a copy of Kick-Ass instead of Kick-Ass 2, still trying to decide if I am upset or not :)
